Re: [JAWS-Users] activation J15 Key

2014-11-19 Thread TheHangMan
Hi Mike,
I never knew there was an activation code, since I can't see the screen and
jaws never read anything out to me?
Are we talking about, when you install the certification disc?
I only know about the key number and serial number

Thanks

Jorge

Hi

To retrieve a JAWS activation key, you will need the complete 20 digit
authorization code along with serial number and locking code.. The
authorization code that FSActivate shows you on the screen which has your
remaining authorization count is only part of your authorization code and
won't authorize JAWS.

 Ann Marie,

Do you know your serial number? If so, you can go to www.fsactivate.com
and retrieve your activation key. Just follow the instructions on the
page, it takes a few minutes and there will be about 3 or 4 different
pages to open up during the process, but just scroll down and read what it

tells you to do. You can then download the JAWS 15 file from the Freedom
Scientific Downloads webpage. JAWS 15 will now be found under the Past or
Old versions of JAWS link. If you do not know the serial number, I am
afraid that you will only be able to use JAWS in the 40 minute demo mode.
Another option is if you have someone at home who can retrieve the serial
number off of the software packaging for you. Good luck.

 Thanks,

Call the computer manufacturer's Technical Support Number with the
computer's model number. They will be able to tell you which ports are USB
3.0 and which are 2.0. They will be grouped together, not intermixed. For
instance, on a laptop, the 3.0 ports are usually on the left side of the
computer when facing the screen, and the 2.0 ports are on the right side.

I wanted to tie a phone to my laptop using Wind 7, office 10 and jaws 14.

I have a headset with a microphone that I can plug into the ear port.

I set up dialing rules to the best of my knowledge,

But, it kept on asking for the Verizon landline code?

I did the apply and ok buttons.

I set up the microphone

And it went through its installation .

Call the computer manufacturer's Technical Support Number
with the computer's model number. They will be able to tell
you which ports are USB
3.0 and which are 2.0. They will be grouped together, not
intermixed. For instance, on a laptop, the 3.0 ports are
usually on the left side of the computer when facing the
screen, and the 2.0 ports are on the right side.

Anyone on here can feel free to correct me, but I don't think there's
very much difference between a USB 2.0 and 3.0 port. It sounds like
the colors are different, but other than that, they're probably alike
except for speed. If I'm not mistaken, USB 3.0 is faster than 2.0. The
computer and the connected device may share data more quickly, but
that may be all. On 11/19/14, Gary Ray ghr...@charter.net wrote:

Is it an application you have to download or a website?

This tread has been around a long time.

Finally I got interested, once I saw you used a jaws command to open it.

I believe any command that uses the insert key.

Thanks,
Jorge

Hi Beverly,

To launch Research It, press Insert plus space. You will then hear two
clicks. At that point, hit the letter R, and Research It will open. I hope
this helps.
