[JAWS-Users] Jaws 14 and Office 2013 Professional plus

2015-01-06 Thread Marek Durila

Hi all,
I am having difficulties, maybe, because this version of JF isn't
supporting this office?
I am waiting for SMA, but there is some procedure in my company.
1. When I press ctrl. o. I don't have classic dialogue as in 2003, there
are some tabs maybe last opened or edited documents, only on last tab is
something as unsaved and there when I press space-bar I can select the
files.
2. When I press ctrl. c/v I am facing some dialogue how to copy/paste, I
must press esc. to close it.
3. When I will go to the some folder where are some xls/doc files, the
explorer is frozen and I must few minutes, when the window is possible move
between files.
4. When I press ctrl. f4 before I could close all files, now each file I
must close separately.
5. When I must enable some macros, I am not able move cursor to the edit
button as before.
6. When closing documents 2003 asked me if save yes/no, here is don't save
and as I was before pressing yes now it is confusing me.
Any help would be good.
JF on win 7 64 professional.

[JAWS-Users] Where can I get the 64bit compatible drivers of asusx200ca for win7

2015-01-06 Thread Sachin
Hi everyone, I have an asusx200ca Notebook. I recently formatted it
reinstalled windows7, when I purchased the system, 32bit version of
Windows7 drivers were installed in it, so after formatting I have
chosen 32bit version of win7. This is the real problem; motherboard
driver CDs supplied with the system only contains the drivers that are
64bit compatible. Where can I get 32bit compatible drivers?

Does anyone have any idea?,
Thanks in advance

Re: [JAWS-Users] need help uninstalling a program

2015-01-06 Thread Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)
I figured JAWS may not be the only program that has shared components, so I
thought I'd check. Heretofore, I just used the Office uninstall routines. I
May do it by degrees, Tim--take off 2003 first, then 2007. I don't know why I
worry with the size of today's drives, but I just like to keep it neat. I
started with a 10MB drive years ago, and I thought that was The Ponderosa. I
still had empty space when I discontinued that good old XT.

At least up through Office 2007, each version of Office is its own separate
software suite, and will show up that way in any uninstall program. You can
safely uninstall the older version of office. That said, the only downside of
leaving the older version is the amount of disk space the program is taking up.
Also, there are some aspects of the newer versions of Office that make JAWS
more convoluted to use compared with earlier versions, so you may want to keep
that older version if your project involves tasks that are easier to do in the
older version.

I agree that Revo Uninstaller does a better job of removing all the pieces,
especially if you change the filter level from moderate (the default) up to the
thorough level, which is the highest of the three. A tech friend of mine
found this program removed pieces that he had not been able to remove with the
standard Windows uninstaller, and it fixed the sluggish performance problem he
was having. I have used Revo Uninstaller for a number of years, and always
with good effects.

From my experience, Revo Uninstaller will remove programs that Windows cannot

As always, a very hopeful post. I am wondering if this program does a better
job than just the standard Windows UnInstaller? I'm not sure windows does as
complete a job as this describes. What is your experience?

 Hi Kevin,

You can get the Revo Uninstaller at:

 www.ninite.com

Here are some basic steps on how to use the program:

It probably isn't the most intuitive program ever made, but in a
normal situation it's like a wizzard process.

 1. find the program you want to uninstall in a list of programs that
first comes up when you start the program. You need to use first
letter navigation to do this or, use your arrow keys because I haven't
found a way to put all the programs into list view.

 2. With the program highlighted that you want to remove, open the
context menu and press enter on uninstall. You will get a dialogue
asking if you're sure you want to remove this program, tab to the yes
 option press the spacebar.
 3. Now it's time to choose the level at which revo uninstaller does
its job. So, Shift + tab, into the options list. you have 4 modes
Built-in, Safe, Moderate, Advanced. I always choose advanced
because some programs love to leave registry entries and little traces
 of themselves everywhere.
These are radio buttons, so just choose the appropriate one.

 4. Hit the next button and Revo will go to work and uninstall your
program, so sit back for a minute or two.

 5. This is when the fun really starts. After you hit the next
button, Revo will display a number of left over files and registry entries
 from
the program.hit the tab key and you should find a select all
button, and a delete button. so first hit select all, followed by
delete. You'll get a warning asking if you really want to do this?
Answer yes. It'll then delete any files left over.

Hello!

Perhaps you should change this value from true to false in about config
page:

layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled

I use Firefox 34.0 with JAWS 15.0.12085 and the JAWS cursor works quite
well.

I am having trouble with listening to music.
Who gave a YouTube poster to omit the longest part of shout by the Dynatones?
I am trying to find a place that had it that was accessible with Jaws
 ever since IMeem shut down.
And people don't post worldwide message tribe album, another group I
 tried to get?
 This is very absurd.
Does anybody know how to get forgotten 45's?
Many sites prove they don't know of any such thing.
Are there any ways to listen to music these days?
You just cannot omit anything for a blind person.
Also, Youtube doesn't use that horns from the album new york rock and

How dare people be so stingy to do that!

Hi Mario,

I spoke to tech support the other day explaining I wanted to go back to
2014.
They said the only difference between the new version and the old was
the interface.
They didn't give any indication of when support or definitions for the

I have heard that someone is working with someone at Vipre to make the
new 2015 version accessible.
Apparantly it should happen sometime early this year.

Nope, but I got it to work after I tried two other screen readers; however,
I was stupid and wasn't paying attention to which one did the trick, lol.

I'm on this shop site, it says select a size, s, m l. No combobox. No
checkboxes.

I've done spacebar, enter, left mouse click, but it doesn't appear to
work.Suggestions?

Hi yall, thank you very much. PHEW I got it and it's working. The JAWS
cursor now reads as usual. I guess the old slip of the finger put that extra
letter in there.

Wow, I was afraid to try first letter navigation to jump down to that
setting in case it inadvertently changed something so it took me a while to
get there. That is an extensive list of settings!

[JAWS-Users] accessible music downloaders and players

2015-01-06 Thread Joey Lamperis
Hi List,

I am having trouble with listening to music.
Who gave a YouTube poster to omit the longest part of shout by the Dynatones?
I am trying to find a place that had it that was accessible with Jaws
ever since IMeem shut down.
And people don't post worldwide message tribe album, another group I
tried to get?
This is very absurd.
Does anybody know how to get forgotten 45's?
Many sites prove they don't know of any such thing.
Are there any ways to listen to music these days?
You just cannot omit anything for a blind person.
Also, Youtube doesn't use that horns from the album new york rock and
soul review and spotify is so slow.
How dare people be so stingy to do that!

Joseph Lamperis

Go to the web site www.mp3million.com, do a search to see if they have the
music that you want (chances are they do), if they do, create yourself an
account, make a deposit, buy your music and download it. It only costs 9
cents per track.

Usually, if the program is displaying properly, you can find the maximize
and close buttons on the top line using the Jaws Review cursor.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws not reading the close window icon

Hi list, I have just rejoined this list. So are looking forward to
improving my skills in using Jaws(even though I am a long time user of
it smile). I have been having several issues with Jaws since version
15. For example, I am currently using Jaws 16 on a Windows7 home
premium on a desktop computer. Starting with Jaws15, I have noticed
that Jaws will no longer speak to me the close icon at the top of any
programs or windows. I have confirmed with family members that the
icon is in fact showing. I have spoken to my local Freedom Scientific
distributor. But they just said. If it is there, than Jaws will read
it. But like I said, family members confirm that they can see it and
click on it. I do realize, that I can use the alt F4 command to close
a program or window. But I find that alt F4 does not always close
properly. So I like to be able to route Jaws to the PC cursor and then
left click on the close icon.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks Jason
