Re: [JAWS-Users] Comcast trash folder

2015-02-07 Thread Mike Boyd

I apologize Lenny, I did mean to say Comcast. I have been working on some
Gmail stuff today, and guess I got confused. I do use a comcast.net email
account in WLM however, and I have the regular Spam and Deleted Items
folders in my account. I am not sure why yours is appearing differently,
maybe I can find something on this for you.

Lenny,

The Trash folder is usually a substitute for the Spam folder, not the
Deleted Items folder. If you do not have the Deleted items folder, then it
is most likely not setup to appear in WLM on the gmail.com website. If you
want to have this folder, then You can sign into your gmail account there
and set thisup under the labels item in the settings tab.

Good evening,

I noticed that under the Comcast account there is a trash folder opposed to
a delete folder. I have wlm to automatically clear the deleted folder upon
exiting. This does not clear the trash folder under Comcast. I can not
locate a setting to indicate to clear the trash folder. Just wondering if I
renamed the trash folder name would this fix the problem or make things
worse?

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

I have never seen a video, that when converted to the DVD format, included
anything in the audio_ts folder. If you want to have it included, then
simply create a new folder and name it this. The audio portion of the video
is embedded in the VAB files in the Video_ts folder.

Re: [JAWS-Users] wlm mail accounts

2015-02-07 Thread Mike Boyd

Sure Kevin,

The first thing that you need to do for setting up Gmail in WLM, is to sign
into your Gmail acount at gmail.com, and find the forwarding item inside of
the settings tab. Here, you need to select the IMAP as your choice because
this is easier to use than the POP3 Server settings.

While in the Settings tab, also select the item called Labels, and check off
the folders that you want to appear in WLM under your Gmail account.

Now, open up WLM and the Add an Account wizard, and start setting up the
account by inputting your Gmail address, the password, etc. Be sure that the
"secure server" and "requires verification" boxes are checked.

The incoming server will be imap.gmail.com, and the port willbe 993.

The outgoing server will be smtp.gmail.com, and this port will be 587.

After this, just complete any other steps required, and then you should have
your Gmail account appearing in the WLM main window.

[JAWS-Users] inspect element

2015-02-07 Thread anna vimini

Hi Mike,

That is what I found also.
Thanks again for all who helped.
Re: [JAWS-Users] internet explorer 11

Hi Anna,

Inspect Element is supposedly a feature that will let you view
information about the developer of a web site. This is the definition
which I found online,
however, upon trying it, I did not get very good results. It is said
that this is a good feature in Firefox or Google Chrome, but did not
exist in IE for
quite some time, and has been added as an after thought upon request
from users of the other browsers. Hence, like many things Microsoft that
are done

after the initial development, it does not work very well.

Thanks, I do have it working. Comcast suggested that I delete the account
and follow the steps that they sent to recreate it.

Lenny,

Here are the settings to set up your Comcast email account. I don't know if
these differ from what you have been trying, but if so,

Incoming Server (pop3): mail.comcast.net
Outgoing Server: smtp.comcast.net
Incoming port: 587
Outgoing port: 995

If you mean how to set the default account, this is a check box in one of
the windows of the account set up wizard. If you mean how to select an
account at random, all of your accounts will show up in the main window of
the WLM program. For instance, le...@comcast.net will be listed and will say
closed. You know to press the right arrow key to open this and then arrow
down to the Inbox, Junk, and Deleted Items folders. If you set up two
accounts, the next account will appear just below this comcast account.

hth,
Mike

Hello, In wlm under options you can add an email account. Although I
purchased my lmchugh@verizon email address I now also have a@comcast address
as well as a gmail account.
I tried to add the comcast email address. I must be missing something trying
to add.
when/if I can add this address in wlm how do you select what account you
want to read and send email?

Re: [JAWS-Users] freedom scientific talking installer

2015-02-07 Thread David Ferrin
Windows 7 has it's own ability to create system images. In effect allowing a
user to reload their system in case of something bad happening. The problem
is creating the backup image is accessible but the reload process is not
because you have to boot the system up using a repair disk that brings up
your system in a pre-windows state.

Well, if my memory serves me right, that would not be so simply possible,
since Jaws is not a free product so using Jaws for the development of
another project may cause some legal problems.I think FS team has to take
the initiative steppes for freedom scientific talking installer.I wonder
what is the use of such a product while talking windows pre-installer
usually provide almost all the assistance needed to install & reinstall
windows operating systems? Also David what did you mean by "talking windows
repair disk"?

I've never heard or read of anything approaching a screen reader for this
OS. If that is the case, that must make it unique among mainstream
operating systems.

Hi Wayne,
Jaws is specific to the Windows operating system.
That is why you will find references to JFW (Jaws for Windows).

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Lenex systems

Hello-

I found a place in Chicago that rebuilds computers and sells them very
cheaply. The issue is that they use the Lenex (spelling uncertain)
operating system exclusively. I am guessing that JAWS doesn't work with
that system but I want to be sure. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Wayne
