Re: [JAWS-Users] new recording on one drive
I originally down loaded the original storm. What I'm loving about Outlook that I did not have in OE is that when there is a link in an e-mail, I just hit Enter, and big as life, there I am smack dab on the net. I had to go down through a few things, but did get the storm, and it was a good one, enjoyed by a woman raised on the Gulf coast. Re: [JAWS-Users] Another Warning About Installing CCleaner
Hi To avoid Google Chrome when installing CCleaner, go to the CCleaner - Builds page at http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds and look for CCleaner - Slim. Notice the dash between CCleaner and Slim. This is the current version that does not contain Google Chrome. There is also a CCleaner Portable version on this page. The Slim and Portable versions may be downloaded and installed by individual home users, but are not to be distributed or used for mirroring. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Gerald Levy Sent: Sunday, August 30, 2015 07:43 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Another Warning About Installing CCleaner Here we go again. Re: [JAWS-Users] Another Warning About Installing CCleaner
I just updated CCleaner the other day to 5.09, Google Chrome wasn't installed. I'm wondering if you installedUnchecky, then installed an earlier version of CCleaner, like a 4.*** version, where they have the checkboxes that you can get to with the Jaws cursor, unchecked Google Chrome, installed, then updated to the latest version. A couple of months ago I had to reformat / reinstall Windows7, 1 of the first programs I installed was Unchecky. When I did a fresh install of CClener Unchecky stopped Google Chrome from being installed, so I just don't understand why it didn't work for you. Take care. I went to the page by the link. When it asked for my password, I just pressed tab. That took me to another page. I arrowed down until I came to a list. Arrowing down through the list I found several items listed each one which was followed by a line that said ,, can view. When I came to the thunder storm, I went to the line under it which said, can view, and then I pressed enter, to select it. I was then asked if I wanted to save or open the file. If you come up with a recording of good quality let me know. I have posted recordings from list members on the audio page in the past. I have been away from such things most of the summer because of other commitments. Now that things are starting to settle down maybe come fall I might try my hand at another recording if an idea crosses my mind so to speak. Re: [JAWS-Users] ms word 2010 vertical alignment with jaws
Tom, Alt + P takes you to the Page Layout tab, then you can tab down until you find the alignment tab. By the way, when you were asking about resizing a cell in an Excel worksheet, did you try the wrap text feature? This will let you type a long line of text into a cell, and retain the cell width by continuously adding lines to the texgt in the cell. This does, however, increase the height of the cell. This feature is found on the Home tab below all of the alignment stuff. Re: [JAWS-Users] Another Warning About Installing CCleaner
All, That installer certainly does need to be more accessible. However, there is a tricky but workable way. If you are using jaws 13 or higher, you can use the convenient ocr feature to try and locate those checkboxes. Just find a spot where Google Chrome or such as mentioned, and reroute your PC cursor to that location. Eight HTML type of screen will appear, just use your regular reading commands to find and uncheck the boxes. Hello Tom, 1. Press Alt followed by P followed by S followed by P to open the page layout dialog box. 2. Hold down CTRL key and while holding it down press tab key repeatedly until you move to the layout page tab. 3. Use Alt with V to move to the vertical alignment list. 4. Use down arrow key to the appropriate choice and press enter key to set it. 5. You can then tab to a box where you can specify whether your choice is for the whole document, from the point in the document with focus forward or to a section if you are using sections. Just use down arrow in the list. 6. Tab to OK and use spacebar. Take care.
