[JAWS-Users] Removing Add-ons in Firefox
Hello all- I found an add-on for Firefox that removes cookies when a site tries to plant them. It is called Self-Destructing Cookies. What I did not anticipate is that JAWS announces every cookie that it destructs and it goes on constantly. I need to either get rid of the add-on or keep JAWS from announcing every cookie. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Wayne For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

I am still using MS Word 2007. The key sequence is, Alt-J then l then v. It gives you options on how you want to seperate items from the table after it is gone. Hi Adrian, I will definitely check out the sources you provided. The document is a newsletter so I don't think the copy and paste thing is viable because all the formatting would be messed up. I actually want to send the newsletter to someone who is only supposed to make hard copies not edit, as was the case the last time. [JAWS-Users] JAWS 18, no check fo updatees...
Hi, I am running JAWS 18 professional on a windows 10 machine at work and on a windows 10 machine at home, both 64-bit.When I tgo tto check for updates in the Jaws software, this option is greyed out on both machines. I phoned Sight and Sound and was told that this was due to a firewall setting on my computer; however, one machine is in my office in the university at which I work, the other being in my home. Both machines had no difficulty with firewalls in V17. Am I losing the plot or does anyone have any suggestions please? Re: [JAWS-Users] internet explorer 11
Hi Fred, Doing this reset in IE should not cause any issues with anything else on your pc. Follow the instructions that that other person gave you but here are a couple things he missed. After you press enter on the advance tab you have to tab twice to get to the reset button. Then after you press enter on the reset button another box will come up. Tab once then press the spacebar once to put a check mark in to have all personal setting like history and add on deleted. Then tab to the reset button an press reset. It will only take just a second to reset IE after you press the reset button. Then after the reset close IE and restart it and see if it works better for you. Re: [JAWS-Users] internet explorer 11
Hi All, >From the website Adrian posted, these 3 questions & answers should clear things up: Frequently Asked Questions What is Microsoft Edge? Microsoft Edge is our all-new browser for Windows 10, that goes beyond browsing with features like Web Note and Cortana1 integration. Microsoft Edge can launch Internet Explorer 11 for sites that need better backward compatibility. Internet Explorer 11 will continue to be supported on Windows 10. How long will the most current version of Internet Explorer remain supported? Internet Explorer is a component of the Windows operating system and the most current version will continue to follow the specific support lifecycle policy for the operating system on which it is installed. Internet Explorer 11 will be supported for the life of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. To find the support lifecycle dates for all operating systems, search the Support Lifecycle Database here. Does this mean Microsoft is changing the support lifecycle policy for Internet Explorer? The latest version of Internet Explorer will continue to follow the component policy, which means that it follows the support lifecycle and is supported for as long as the Windows operating system on which it is installed. Focusing support on the latest version of Internet Explorer for a supported Windows operating system is in line with industry standards. Take care.
