It is un-checked. The computer is a 3 year old Dell MPX 8900. 24 Gigs of 
memory and about 700 gigs of free disk space.  Tom

unchecked?

I only recall this happening on systems that have this security feature, and
really, really old computers.

It sounds like you have a security dialog box open, and it's blocking your
installation.

Do an insert+F10 to check for what windows are open.  I'll bet dollars to
doughnuts there's a security dialog box in there somewhere.

[JAWS-Users] Braille nlote tuch will not work under jfw 18.

I am tryinfg to use my braille note tuch as a braille divice with jfw 18 
under windows 10.  I am connected via USB and when ever I start jaws I 
receive the message could not load braillle driver. Any idea on how to 
fix this or if there is a driver I need to install and whare to get it 
from?  Thanks.

I have no answer for the problem but can verify experiencing it as well and 
suspect that since support for the program from Microsoft will be ending in 
early 2017 it might only get worse over time.
That's why I've begun using Microsoft Outlook and I'm sure fans of other 
programs will chime in as well with their favorites. While it's true that as 
long as one has an installer for the program and can get it up and running 
it will remain usable this highlights one of the problems that comes with 
continued use of such programs which won't continue to evolve to integrate 
into newer operating systems or to handle newer protocols or security 
concerns.

Control plus and control minus are for inserting and deleting.  I've noticed
with jaws 16 and windows 16 that when I use that, or the application key, it
just sayd insert r, or insert c, or what have you.  But, it should still
work.
