Re: [JAWS-Users] entering authorization number

2017-06-08 Thread Mike B.
Hi T,

Are you currently running a version of Jaws? If so, installing &
authorizing Jaws 17 will use the installed versions authorization info. If
not, have your 20 digit authorization number handy, so you can copy it to
the clipboard, & paste it into the correct field. Run the Jaws 17
executable, & follow the prompts, & it'll guide you throughout the process.
If you don't have any activation keys available the authorization process
will inform you, & you can go to the website, which I'll put below, & get a
reset of your activations, or call the phone number I'll provide as well.

Phone#: 1-727-803-8015

Website: http://www.fsactivate.com

Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

I downloaded jaws 17 from the internet, and since it’s been so long since I’ve
authorized jaws, do I need to be online to do it, and if so, what’s the best
way to get to the jaws authorization page while online?

Jim,

To stop Firefox from excessively saying "Clickable", try the following:

Open a window in FireFox.
Open "Settings Center" by doing insert key plus 6.
under the"Web / HTML / PDFs"category, there is a subcategory labeled
"Miscellaneous"
Under"Miscellaneous"there is a setting labeled
"Indicate Element Attribute"
Unchecking this setting will stop Jaws from saying clickable.

It's Firefox, not JAWS, that seems to find a clickable element at the
end of many sentences and at various parts of a web page. So I hit enter
and all of the other mouse click permutations I know and I do not get
carried to a new place. A clickable dud.

I did an experiment. I ran across a web page in FF that liberally
spread clickable around. I copied the link to thepage andpasted it into
Ie11. Nada. Blessed silence save the text.

Any Firefoxers out there who can guide me to reining in he clickables on FF?

Tks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 17 Window not displaying properly!

2017-06-08 Thread Adrian Spratt
Paul,

Just to be clear, do you realize that "Options" is only one of the choices in
the JAWS menu? I'm not sure how you're opening the JAWS window. From Options,
depending on the window, you either arrow right and left or arrow up and down
to find Utilities. Maybe in another window you tab, but I doubt it.

Hi All,

Got a Dell laptop with windows 7 installed. Whenever I try and bring up the
JAWS 17 window to access something like the Utilities menu all I get is the
Options menu and a system menu. Most of the items in the system are greyed out
such as restore, minimised and maximised so nothing to access of any use there.
I did a repair of JAWS and even downloaded an available update but still no
joy. I also checked the resolution and it was at a value somewhere in the
middle of a range of different values indicating that this was the recommended
one. Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts on this.

Many thanks for help.
