The FN key is the second key to the right of the space bar. The Touch keyboard has some keys for common Win8 functions also. You can find a list of the function assignments in this list. http://www.microsoft.com/Surface/en-US/support/hardware-and-drivers/touch-co ver-typing For example, the key in the location of F1 by itself is mute. They weren't sure since none of them went to the presentation, but that's what they raid. We'll see though. I've heard it is true from some friends but the thing is that it's kind of hard for them to figure out since they can't buy some of the touch tech they needed from Apple. Selfish apple, some one should get the whip. But any ways, yeah I guesss it's kind of true, but we'll just have to see how well it works since Apple won't share. Re: [JAWS-Users] starting jaws at the log on screen?
This is a preface and you can do it or not! Some don't do login at the login screen they just choose to start JFW after login! This does make a quicker login. But you have to be able to know when windows come up and you need site or listen to your computer very closely. Or just give a count and if nothing is wrong then if you have it setup for ctrl Alt delete then you can do this and put in your password. Or a another choice is just not to have a login password. Hi, are you using the updated version of jfw14? If so I would revert back to the older version till they get the update fix! They are having problems with the update for a lot of people with the insert and f keys and don't know what all else . They have blocked the updater to Jfw with in Jfw for updating Jfw. I also think they have blocked the site from downloading the update of Jfw. I hear they will have it fix the update sometime next week. I had to revert back myself and know lots of people that did the same. Hi, just go to the folder and use the app key and go to properties and use the JFW curser to read the dialog box. It will be in that dialog box. Re: [JAWS-Users] Trouble with Google access and Jaws
Hi, as for the Google instance you can also use this Google page it just cuts off the Google instance permitly but that is it all the rest is the same and you can set it as your home page. No it is not the Google accessible browser it is the regular Google page with the instance cut off permitly so you don't have to turn it off each time. See link below to it. Re: [JAWS-Users] Enhancements Improvements In J14.0.1036 Link
Hi, new member here . I myself would not till they got things work out. But unless you have already downloaded it you cannot get it. They have pulled the update as the site will not let you download the file and the updater in JFW will not let you update JFW14 for now. Now don't have a date but I understand they hope sometime next week! Re: [JAWS-Users] mouse over how to
This is true and the way around it is to just call your personnel department and get them to print you out a copy or just tell you how much time you have . Or get a visual person help you click the link. No this is not ideal but we have to do what we have to do!
