[JAWS-Users] Jaws Hot Key

2018-05-28 Thread Geoff Connor
Hello.

I have a question about Jaws and setting up a hot key. Is there a way I can
set up a Jaws hot key and not lose it every time Jaws updates to a new
version? NVDA for example never loses its hotkey. Jaws should be the same.

Thanks.

[JAWS-Users] Jaws And Outlook 2016

2015-11-05 Thread Geoff Connor
Hello.
I am currently using Jaws 17 and Office 2016 on an HP computer running
windows 10. When it comes to reading my mail in Outlook, sometimes my mail
will read just fine, and other times, Jaws will just say "blank." This has
been happening since Tuesday. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks.

[JAWS-Users] Jaws And Office 2007 Calendar

2015-10-20 Thread Geoff Connor
Hi all. I am currently using the latest build of Jaws 17 and Microsoft
Office 2007 on a windows 10 computer.
My issue is with the calendar in Outlook. When I try to move between the
days with the left and right arrows, Jaws says nothing. However, the curser
is moving from day to day. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so,
is there a way to fix it.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws Not Reading Phone Numbers Properly

2014-02-15 Thread Geoff Connor
I am using the latest build of Jaws 15 and have tried both eloquence and 1
of the new vocalizer voices. Jaws is saying phone numbers the way it used
to.
7 hundred eighty, 4 hundred fifty four, and so on instead of 780-454.

Cheers.

[JAWS-Users] Jaws And Blind Tunes

2013-11-04 Thread Geoff Connor
Hi all. I installed the Blind Tunes scripts on my computer. This was when I
was using Jaws 14. I upgraded to Jaws 15, thinking that the scripts would
automatically work with Jaws 15. But they don't. I thought that merging my
settings may have caused the problem. So this afternoon, I uninstalled and
reinstalled Jaws 15. But everything is the same. What do I have to do to get
the Blind Tunes scripts working with Jaws 15?

Thanks.

Everything works fine until I have my setting in a zipped file and go to
give it a name. That's when I get the error that says that the name already
exists. I have tried both Jaws 13 and 14. I got the same result with both
versions. Does anybody know what could be causing the problem? Any help

The blank page problem they mention occurs even with the latest build of
Jaws but can be resolved with unloading and restarting it.

Hi all:
Just wondering,
I'm using IE8 on a windows 64 bit machine running Win7 and JFW 12.
Lately I've been coding a site which I've been programing completely on html
4.01 and javascript.
It works well for sighted users, and runs smoothly with NVDA and Voice Over,
but for some reason whenever I go to it with IE and JFW 12.58 all it says is
blank, blank, blank as I try to move, and it won't allow me to bring up
links or anything.

Is this an IE issue or a JFW issue?

Is it something to do with the software or the way I'm coding my sight that
won't allow it to run with JFW?
As far as I know my website stands within W3C standards so I don't know what
could be wrong?

Thanks,

Jorge

Because all mine says is blank

Are you running IE8?

If so, then I guess I'm running IE9?
