Mike, I understand your point about editing. It's the frustrating part of
saving messages to text. However, one big advantage with saving a group of
emails into a single text file is that you can perform search-and-replace
operations to delete lots of repeated text at once.

If saving several emails to a single text file in Outlook Express at 1 time,
can be done, I don't know how to do it. On the other hand that is something
I wouldn't do because when I save an email, whether as in.eml or.txt format,
I always take as much extraneous info out as possible, & I also edit /
rewrite the message as necessary.

For the record, it also works in Outlook. I never figured that one out.
Thanks. But now I remember the Outlook difference, as I experienced it from
OE. In Outlook, you can save multiple messages to a single text file in one
operation. Perhaps Mike B will find that this is also possible in OE, too.
In that case, things improved since I gave up on OE lo those many years ago.

Here are two possibilities for you. The first one seems to work most of the
time.

1. Open Control Pannel.
2. Open Power Options.
3. You will see "Require a Password on wake up.
4. In this area, check the box for Do not require a password.
5. Save your changes.

If this first option does not work, try the following.

1. Press the Windows Key + R to open the run dialogue box.
2. In this box, type the following, "control userpasswords2", without the
quotes.
3. Press enter.
4. In the resulting window, uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a
users name and password to use this computer".
5. Click on Apply.
6. Enter your users name and password.
7. Click on OK, then on OK once again.

One of these methods should work for you.

2014-08-19 Thread Roberta Nevels
You can also
1. put your focus in front of where you want to copy and press control
windows k and this will put a temporary place marker
 2. then go to the end of where you want to copy and do a insert space bar
and press m
3. then do a control c to copy it to your clipboard
4. then go to where you want to put it and do a control v to paste it,
remember you must arrow up to see what you copied.

To copy text do the following.

1. Put your focus just in front of what you want to copy. Then hold down
ctl+shift then hit the right arrow key. Every time you hit the right
ctl+arrow
key while holding down the ctl+shift key jaws will announce what word you
have selected. So right arrow until you have everything selected that you
want to copy.
2. Then hold down the ctl key then hit the C key to copy. You should then
hear jaws say copied.
3. Then go to the place where you want to copy the text and put the focus
there. Then hold down the ctl key and hit the V key to paste the text.

Let me know it that works for you.

There are more keys you can use to select more text like a whole line or
whole page.

Hello,

I'm using the latest build of JAWS 15 with a Triple Talk USB Synth on a
Windows 7 64 Bit Home Edition computer.

I'm looking for a basic back up utility for storing designated files to my
DropBox folder on a weekly schedule.

I don't care about a bunch of fancy bells and whistles. This program must be
accessible using the computer configuration I mentioned above.

I just want to be able to configure the utility to back up specific files
from various folders on my C and D drive partition to my DropBox folder.
DropBox will then handle the transport to an on-line storage account.

Don't care if it is free or paid.

All suggestions are welcome.

Hello.
Using jaws 15 and windows 7. Thought I would give face book another try.
Are there any email lists or podcasts that may serve as a tutorial for

I'm wondering how you can put people in groups such as friends, family, etc.

Thanks forany help.

Go to the sub menu of the program (Jaws submenu, for example).
Press shift + F10.

Tab to the quick command edit box.
Type control + J, for jaws for example.

The alt will automatically add it self.

Tab down to apply, then shift tab to ok.
