Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Live Mail Repair
Hello Jery, I am using Windows 8.1, but I should think the steps to repair Windows live mail is similar. Go to programs and features and arrow down, or use first letter navigation, to windows esentials. Go to the context menue and you should find something like uninstall/change, press enter. You will find buttons using tab, and there will be one that says repair. I hope this helps. [JAWS-Users] cleaning software
Hello all, Using windows 8.1-64 and Jaws 2018. Some time ago, some one recommended a program that cleans up the remains of uninstalled programs. Would they tell me the name and how to use it? [JAWS-Users] how can I install adobe digital editions 4.5.4
Hello all, Using Jaws 2018 and windows 8.1-64. I tried opening a PDF book using digital editions, but the program doesn’t seem to work. Accoring to a sighted person, the screen is blank, though I can read adobe digital editions. I tried instaling and uninstalling to no avail. The program installed is the adobe digital editions 4.5.8. I found that when I try to open the book with the ‘open with option’, in the context menu, it says open with adobe digital editions f.5.4, but, as I said, the version installed is 4.5.8. Is this last version not accessible with Jaws? Where could I find the 4.5.4 version? I also found that if I try to open the book with acrobat reader DC, the program doesn’t respond. I can’t seem to restore my computer to a fiew weeks ago, for the only created restore point is today. I would really appreciate if some one could take me out of this marsh sand. Your understandable confusion comes about because VFO changed the way versions are numbered. Until the year 2016, each version had a one- or two-digit number. the last in this series was JAWS 18. This past year, in the closing months of 2017, VFO decided against calling the new version 19, and instead assigned it the name of the upcoming year, 2018. From now on, I assume this will be the pattern, with version 2019 coming out next fall. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List <jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com> On Behalf Of Teresa Arroyo Llosa Sent: Saturday, March 17, 2018 4:41 PM To: Jaws Users List <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Subject: [JAWS-Users] Confusion with jaws Hello, I am a bit confused as to which JAWS is the latest. [JAWS-Users] making new addressbook in word 2013 with jaws
Hello< Using windows 8.1, jaws 16 and ofice 2013. I am trying to enter name, last name, etc. in creating new addressbook under the correspondence or letter tab (my word is in Spanish, so I don’t know how these buttons and tabs are translated). When I enter creating new addressbook I get a rich edit control, but I am not able to see the fields name (for example name). If I arow up or down, there is a list view, but it only says 1 of 1; there is no way to select anything. If I press insert F5 to make a list of fields it says that there is a jaws dialog open already. I also tried sutumising the listview so that it would speak column header or text. It reads the whole list, without leting me select the field. So don’t know where each field is. Can please sombody help me? Thanks in advance. [JAWS-Users] Slecting two or more placeholders in powerpoint 2013
Hello Guys: Using windows 8.1, Jaws 16 and PowerPoint 2013. As the subject says I wonder if there is a way to select two or more boxes/placeholders in PoerPoint, in order to apply modifications (color, letter, etc.) I tried using F5, but couldn’t get to the ribbons. I also would like to know if there is a way that Jaws would verbalize slide efects, like reflexion, ilumination, shades, etc. I am doing an online urse in this software, and others, and am having some trouble in this issues. According to the course tutor the way to select two or more placeholders would be pressing control key with the left button of the mouse; this is the sighted way. How is this done with Jaws? Hello all, Running Windows 8.1-64, Jaws 16, and MicrosoftWord 2013. I am doing a MicrosoftWord 2013 course online, and many things are done with the ruler. I think I was able to see the ruler with word 2003, using the Jaws cursor, but now it doesn’t work. It doesn’t even show me the buttons, like close. Can someone please help me with this subject?
