There is a open new window in the view tab menu list.

At 07:40 AM 2/26/2010, you wrote:

i have already checked folder option there folder to open in same window

i think in folder option , in file type tab i made some changes by
mistake and this problem started

any solution for this?

i want to keep open all folder in the same window

Vickie,

Have you tried unloading Jaws 11 and retrying the on demand
scan with 9?

What version of windows are you running?

I ask only because I am running NOD-32, Windows XP-Pro and
Jaws 9.latest and everything works perfectly.

I am having a problem doing an on-demand scan with the
latest version of
JAWS and Nod32.

It stops at 27% with a string of invalid argument windows
that seem to be
related to JAWS. Once I can get out of the windows by
pressing ok, I get an
error message to send to Freedom Scientific, and whether or
not I choose to
send or decline, JAWS crashes. I then reload it or JAWS 9,
and the same
thing happens over again. I try to restart the computer, and
I have to shut
it down manually because it gets stuck somewhere. Since I
have no speech,
I'm not sure what is going on at that point. I only know the
computer will
not shut down on its own.

Has anyone had trouble with JAWS 11 and Nod32 and are there
any suggestions
for why the invalid argument is showing up and what to do
about it?

Thanks.

Vicki

You can try to run scandisk and check both boxes. It will take some time
to run, but might clean up enough for you to put the image on.
You can find this by highlighting the drive in explorer or myComputer,
right click or application key. Then hit enter on properties... Now
control+ tab to tools tab menu, and tab to error check now... hit enter.
This will run the next boot, and will take some time so don't worry if it
don't boot up right away.
make a note on how much space on the drive you have now, because you are
going to lose some from the corruption.

At 10:29 AM 12/23/2009, you wrote:

I think the clue is in the cannot read drive c message. It sounds like at
the very least that you should run a disk repair on this drive. Go to the
drive properties in My computer and then go to the Tools tab to do this.

Unfortunately if your image is corrupted through drive errors you may not
have any alternative but to use either a factory restore utility or make a
fresh install of windows and all your drivers to get your system back to
optimum performance. If I had to do this I would personally get an
engineer
to replace the existing C drive and reinstall windows for me. . I fear
that
you may need sighted help unless you have an unattended install package
set

up..

If, on the other hand , the disk repair is sufficiently successful to
make
your PC work effectively you could of course make another image backup but
I

really do not recommend that you do this on drive C anyway.

Ctrl+Shift+cannot

Greetings everyone,

It is my heart felt prayer that this message finds everyone in good health
and in good spirits. I'm writing today to find out if anyone knows of a
jaws

friendly web site where a blind person can go to learn guitar scales for
playing lead guitar. I've started Playing my guitar again and this time I
plan to stick to it. I played guitar for several years before I went
blind.
After losing my sight I kind of just layed my guitar down. After a few
years

had passed, I tried picking it up again but I quickly put it back down
again. But, I am at it again and this time it is with a vengeance. I've
been
practicing day and night. Now all I need is to find a blind friendly site
to

get some lead scales or patterns so as to add more color to my style of
pplaying. I truely hope there is someone out there who can direct me to
where I need to go. until I here from someone, happy trails, and blue
skies

and green lights.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Sincerely yours,

Fred

have you or your son run the game since it was installed? If you

Hello there. Now this is going to be tricky to explain, but I had a eror
message come up, and although I went into the maintenance folder to fix
it, I am now kicking myself, because I hav deleted some of my folders in
outlook express. I thought that if I deleted the bdx folders, I'd be
alright, but now I find that having done that, I've actually deleted all
my folders. They are still in my recycle bin and they're all bdx folders,
is there a way to retrieve them again. I did put them back, but can't find
any of my files I put in outlook express. Heck! I'm sure I've confused you
all, but I can't think of a better way to explain what I did. I guess what
I could be asking is, can I retrieve my folders back even though they're
all bdx folders, and if so, how can I open them again. Whew I hope I've
made sense. Kimmie.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] message compact

Hi List,
Recently, when I exit from windows mail, I am getting the message; message
compact store it will take for few minutes.
I have no idea what this all about, so I just Tab to cancel, but then JAWS
says press enter to start.
I don't want to press enter cause I don't know what will start there, so I
just press win key and M to go back to desktop.
This is very annoying to do this all the time, so hope somebody out there
could please provide me right direction to get rid of this.
Your help is very much appreciated, thank you.

Hi firoz,
Thanks for your reply, but I'm not storing my messages, I used to clean up
my folders, eg inbox, sent mails, junk mails and deleted folder.
I don't have that prompt before, only now that I'm in wireless connection.
I have no idea if it's something to do with that.
Anyway, I'll take your suggestion and see what will happen.
Best regards,

Estelita

 Subject: [JAWS-Users] message compact

 Hi List,
 Recently, when I exit from windows mail, I am getting the message;
 message
compact store it will take for few minutes.

 Hi, Howard!

Yes, it can, but if it is better, that you register with another key,
because two computer can think, the company, that it is a company, and
 want
 to you, to purchase professional.
So, if you can, have another code as well, but if you want, use the code

I sometimes have this problem is I am trying to access a web page before
it
has completely loaded. Are you waiting for Jaws to say 100% before trying
 to
access the forms fields on a page? If you are then Jaws will sometimes
 just
dump you back up to the first part of the web page as it completes its
 loading.

 Hi Mich,
Try this just to see if your address book is your selection in Internet
 Explorer.
 1. Go to your Desk Top and find Internet Explorer and press space bar to
 select it.
 2. Press enter to open it.
 3. Press alt plus t for tools.
 4. Press o for options.
 5. Now control tab to the programs page.
 6. Tab over until you hear contact list. It should say address book
 right
 after contact list.

I am asking this to see if your computer recognizes your address book as
 your main source of contacts.

 Hi Mich,

 Try this.
 1. Open address with control, shift, plus b while in OE.
 2. Tab 2 times and make sure that Main Identities Contacts is checked
 and
not Shared Contacts. If Shared Contacts is checked arrow down 1 time
 to
Main Identities Contacts and that should fix the problem.

 Hello Tam,
Every time you start your computer, you'll need to
 open Ypops. Even if you
configured it to run when the system starts, that
seems to be a problem with
the program. So, if you have it installed, go to your
 desktop where the icon
is, and hit enter, (sometimes you'll need to do it
 twice), until you here:
Configure Ypops. Tab to the OK button, and don't
 close the program, just
alt-tab or minimize it to leave that window. Then you
 should be able to
 download your emails.
 Hugs,
 Vicky

Thank you for the information Firoz, you are very helpful.
Why I want to use this sticky keys, because I got a new tiny travel
 keyboard
and it has only one Alt key and Ctrl key, both are located on the left
 side
of the keyboard, which is very difficult to perform an alt+insert or
 ctrl+insert key combination commands.
However I like this keyboard, the numpad lock, gives 3 functions which the
standard keyboard does, plust it is not bulky to carry about.

 Hi,
When installing SoundForge, there is a button to download these if you
 don't
have them. So the installer will do it all for you.

I was not referring to the internet pop ups but to the notification pop
 ups
i.e. update is ready or Windows security message etc. etc. which Jaws
 can
not read at all and one has to find a sighted person to figure out
 what's

 Greeting all,
The problem was not the memory issue. Actually 512 RAM is ample for GW.
I got the following respond from GOLDWAVE inc
Yep, indeed, the problem has gone!

You could try using Start | Programs | GoldWave | GoldWave Setup and
checking the Fix damaged FPU state box to see if that helps.
Thanks to all and for this mailing list!
 Cordially,

 Tam.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and Yahoo messenger

 Hi list,
Is Jaws 8 able to be used okay with Yahoo messenger? I think I remember a
while ago, that some list members were having issues with it. I am
currently using windows live, which most people still call MSN. I thought
I remembered reading, that Windows live, was meant to allow users to
interact with people using Yahoo. Is this true. I have some friends on
Yahoo, and it would be nice to chat with them without having to sign up
 with Yahoo messenger.
 thanks Jason

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Question about how too save attachments.

Good afternoon everyone,

I’m sorry for asking such an obvious question like this to the list, But I
need some very helpful advice, with regard too saving an attachment. A
while ago, I purchased a tutorial from Freedomscientific on the use of
outlook express six. Unfortunately,I didn’t see anything on the tapes that
would giv me an indication on just how too do this. I even went into the
save as dialog of outlook express sicx,to try and find that option , but I
don’t see anything in there that says, save as an attachment. If someone
would please be so kind as too give me step by step instructionson just how
to save an attachment, I would be most greatful.

Thank’s in advance,

Al

I suggest not to copy the structure from the old computer, but instead,
copy
the folder with the *.dbx files somewhere on you new PC and use the import
feature in OE. It can be found in file menu/import/messages. Just copying
files and folders is risky. Also using backup programs to restore OE
information and data to your new PC is dangerous. I once had to reinstall
 my
xp because I used this kind of programs. They are good for restoring
settings, rules and messages to the same computer, but are very dengerous
to transfer them to a new clean Windows instalation.
