Rick,

Attached is a set of instructions to turn off the Save Password feature in
IE 11. There are 2 options, One is for the desktop app and the other, the
metro app in Windows 8.1. I have not tried this, but it sounds like it will
work. Let me kno, and good luck.

Some web sites may choose not to allow a remember me selection. You would
have to enter your data each time you are accessing that site. It is up to
the web designer weather or not to allow a remember me choice.

Hi George,

Try the following:
1. Open IE, press, Alt + T, for Tools, press the letter, O, for options,
control + tab to the Content tab.
2. Tab to, Auto Complete Settings, press the spacebar to open. Here you
will have various checkboxes to check or uncheck depending on what you want
saved or not saved.
3. After you spacebar auto complete settings, you will also have a, delete
Auto Complete history button, spacebar this you will have several more
options to check / uncheck. After going through these there is not an apply
or okay button so, just spacebar the cancel button okay your way out from
there your settings will be saved.

HTH

Take Care.

Rick,

Attached is a set of instructions to turn off the Save Password feature in
IE 11. There are 2 options, One is for the desktop app and the other, the
metro app in Windows 8.1. I have not tried this, but it sounds like it will
work. Let me kno, and good luck.

I don't know the answer to this question but if someone can give information
to turn this offer off I would also like the information to do it to. I have
wondered how to do this but thought there wasn't a way to do it thanks

Hi Jorge,
That's not what I'm talking about, maybe this will sound better.
When you visit a website that requires you to log-in, after you have typed
your user name and password, and hit the log-in button, Internet Explorer
will offer to remember your password for that site.
I find this annoying, and would like to disable it if possible.
Thanks for the reply.

I never heard of an internet password, but I know you can set one, if you
want to open Outlook, or your PC.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Password Prompts In Internet Explorer

2014-09-25 Thread Trish
Hi,

I did find what you wrote here, I unchecked the one for auto-complete for
forms mode, I didn't find any other ones for passwords. I did find the
history clear button, but chose not to delete.
I have a very tempermentle bank, if cookies is removed, it messes me up big
time. I have to make sure the site is in that are to always allow, anyways I
haven't been coming across those sites asking for IE to remember the
password lately, it could be that I am not very venterous and just go to
same sites over and over.
It's real annoying cause, sometimes, it won't display the site until you do
that alt N, and even with that, it might pop up a msg admistermative rights
or something, I have to tab to ok button to get it to vanish.

Hi Trish,

The checkboxes should only be unchecked if you don't want to use the auto

prefer that IE not remember and want to type in the info themselves. If

whether or not auto complete is used for user names and passwords on forms.
If you don't want passwords to be a part of auto complete then that checkbox
should likely also be unchecked. Also that same page of the dialog has a
button for deleting auto complete history. If that button is used there is
an option for removing the history of passwords.

Take care.

Thanks so much. I found it in IE 10 the last item on that page and it was
checked.

Hello Rick,

In IE 11, Tools menu, Internet options, Content tab, auto Complete settings
button, ask me before saving passwords checkbox. I don't have a version of
IE 10 but it is likely the same or quite similar.

Take care.

Hi Trish,

I'm running IE10. In Auto Complete Settings I get both the Okay Cancel
buttons but, in Delete Auto Complete History I only get the Cancel button.
Take Care.

  Hi Rick,

After you spacebar auto complete settings, spacebar the, delete history
button, you will have several more options to check / uncheck. After
going
through these there is not an apply or okay button so, just spacebar the
cancel button okay your way out from there your settings will be
saved.
  HTH
  Take Care.

Rick,
I picked up on your problem after reading later treads in the afternoon.
Yeah, everybody hears that prompt.
I been clicking on not to hear that prompt or Not to save.

But now that Brian Lee posted a fix, I'll check into that myself.

Nice talking to you again.
If, you would have explain the situation like you did below, I would have
not even replied because I do not know how to stop it forever.

Hi Jorge,
That's not what I'm talking about, maybe this will sound better.
When you visit a website that requires you to log-in, after you have typed
your user name and password, and hit the log-in button, Internet Explorer
will offer to remember your password for that site.
I find this annoying, and would like to disable it if possible.
Thanks for the reply.

Rick,
I never heard of an internet password, but I know you can set one, if you
want to open Outlook, or your PC.
