Re: [JAWS-Users] Selecting an entire worksheet in Excel2010

2011-12-03 Thread Icewolf

Hello,
I am having problems getting it to work in JAWS13. This is what I have
found. If your worksheets have all been named something else besides
sheet 1 etc... insert plus shift plus s brings up the system menu, just
as if you pressed alt plus space. However if you have at least one
sheet with the default name, sheet 1, the insert plus shift plus s works
as expected. As an example, I have a workbook I created with three
sheets. the sheets are named binomial, geometric, and poisson. If I
hit the insert plus shift plus s it just brings up the system menu.
However, if I add a sheet to it and then use the command, it works just
fine. I am using JAWS13 and Excel 2010.

Thanks,
Greg W.

To select all cells in a worksheet, simply press Control +
a. Then you can Press Control +c to copy and go to the next
worksheet using Control
+ PageDown. Finally paste all of the cells with Control +
v.

It may be easier to move or copy the worksheet, rename the
sheet, or other worksheet manipulation rather than cutting
and pasting. The worksheet names are located at the bottom
of the window. By default, they are simply named sheet 1,
sheet 2, sheet 3, and so on. There probably is a better
way to do this, but I turn on the JAWS Cursor with the
NumPad minus (-). Then press PageDown to get to the bottom
of the window. Find the sheet name that you want to
manipulate by using the Control +Right Arrow keys several
times.
Now simulate a right mouse click with the NumPad star (*)
keys. This will bring up a context menu of actions you can
take on that sheet.

Hello,
Now this is weird. If a workbook only has one sheet, the insert plus
shift plus s brings up the system menu. However, if a workbook has
multiple sheets, that command brings up the menu with the different
options for the workbook.

Thanks,

Re: [JAWS-Users] Selecting an entire worksheet in Excel2010

2011-11-30 Thread Ann Byrne
You can move or copy a worksheet to somewhere else in the work book
or to a different workbook. Find the command under

--are you ready?--
home
lower ribbon format
arrow down a bunch

good luck!

Hello,
What I want to do is to take a worksheet copy all the data,
including formulas, and paste it into a new worksheet. Iwant to
take some spreadsheets I have recieved for doing certain statistical
calculations. This way I can group the different sheets into
workbooks so that I don't have so many single worksheets to open for
tests and the like for my stats class.

Greg,

Could you be more specific as to what you want to do? I can
help with either of the following: Do you want to select all
data on a worksheet and paste into a new worksheet in the
same book? Or, do you want to select an entire worksheet and
move or copy to a new book?

Thanks Annette, I knew there was a shortcut, I just do not use it that
much. I still use many workbooks created back in 1994 on a Mac.

To select all cells in a worksheet, simply press Control + a. Then you can
Press Control +c to copy and go to the next worksheet using Control
+ PageDown. Finally paste all of the cells with Control + v.

It may be easier to move or copy the worksheet, rename the sheet, or other
worksheet manipulation rather than cutting and pasting. The worksheet names
are located at the bottom of the window. By default, they are simply named
sheet 1, sheet 2, sheet 3, and so on. There probably is a better way
to do this, but I turn on the JAWS Cursor with the NumPad minus (-). Then
press PageDown to get to the bottom of the window. Find the sheet name that
you want to manipulate by using the Control +Right Arrow keys several times.
Now simulate a right mouse click with the NumPad star (*) keys. This will
bring up a context menu of actions you can take on that sheet.
