Bob, I use testmy.net. For a download test I enter on download test on the main page. On the next page I choose the smar test and it'll test according to the first little bit of speed it measures and run the rest accordingly. I do the same for an upload test. Test results will be below that. To get to the results quickly I do a search for the word star and you'll be a few lines above the results. Here is a speed test I use. It does not seem to be as comprehensive as some. Most other speed test pages I use take longer and test different size packets sent. This is quick. If that's the most user friendly with jaws speed test website, obviously, I need more help! I went there and the page was 95% ads. I found a link for dsl speed and entered on that. It changed pages, theoretically, but I still had 95% ads and nothing about my dsl speed. What do I do when I get to the website and, do I need to use the jaws cursor to actually read results? Hello Karen, The site I often use is www.speedguide.net You can use the SG speed test link on that page. As of today, if you list links and press S eight times you will find the link you need in the links list. The link takes you to a web page with a list of servers in various locations. Press H on the page to move to the area of the page that lists the servers. Use the appropriate link for a server nearest you. The test will start and can take a couple minutes. Upload and download speed is tested. You can use your down arrow key while the test is in progress to find out the status. Results are forwarded to a page that will automatically load when the test is finished. When the page with results loads you can use H to move to the area of the page with results. Use down arrow and after the next blank line is a line showing your download speed, and the line under it shows your upload speed. Continue using down arrow and you will find out what percentage your speeds are compared to the normal for your provider. Take care.
