Most times, when you press the Alt + F key combination, nothing really happens, you will have to arrow down to start seeing the items under the f ile menu, but you should be able to arrow straight on down to the Options item, and open this by pressing enter. In some instances, I suppose you might have to use the Tab key to get to the Options. Do you need instructions again on disabling the Back Stage view? Let me know, and I can resend them. The hardest of the Microsoft big three to clean up seems to be Access. As we use to say, "WYSIWYG." The suggestions presented here do a nice job of cleaning up the Excel and Word interfaces, saving time and aggravation. Access has always required one or two extra steps anyway. The backstage view should be called the front and center view, because that is what it is if you don't disable it, front and center everytime you open a new word document. This goes for Excel as well. Then, it is a real headache to find a simple blank document, so that you can start from scratch. Personally, I don't need nor want all of those useless templates.
