Hanging indents are opposite of a standard indent. IN a hanging indent, the first line is written at the left margin, while subsequent lines are written at the first tabstop from the left margin. You'll see this often in a dialog, or possibly in a question-and-answer format so that each question and the first line of each answer are at the margin. Control-shift-t undoes a hanging indent. Re: [JAWS-Users] question about MS word 2003, and hanging indent?
A hanging indent is where the beginning of a paragraph starts near the margin and following lines are indented. It is one of the Word styles. Highlight the paragraph involved and go to formatting ALT-O, down arrow once to paragraph and whack enter then remove formatting I think it is called. Re: [JAWS-Users] question about MS word 2003, and hanging indent?
A hanging indent is a special paragraph style, typically used in citations and such, where the first line of the paragraph is flush with the left margin, and subsequent lines are indented approximately 5 spaces. Essentially, it's the opposite of a typical indented paragraph. If you go to your paragraph settings dialogue box, tab through till you here special, there is a selection there of several styles, including hanging. Yes, control Z is undo.
