[JAWS-Users] skipe

2012-01-24 Thread Kimsan
Hi,

So, I just got back into skype after years. I have a couple of basic
questions. When there is an incoming call is it possible to click over and
answer? If so, how do I do this?

How do I ignore a call while I am in a call? I had more questions but forgot
them lol. I'm using skipe five point five with the scripts for it and also
the gw skipe.

Thanks.

Thanks.

2010-06-15 Thread David

Hello Donnie;

well, if you go to the jaws-users tips and tricks, and look for skype you
should find your answer,

however,

you could also give this a try,

1, windows-key+r=run,

2, now type in;
skype:username?add
hopefully this helps you.

I no this works for earlier versions of skype,
not sure about skype5

FYI. I got skipe 5. Skypetalking works well along with the scripts for
skipe 42 with skipe 5. So far
good and I am happy. Using window 7 and new jaws. No issues cross your

Hi David,
Please upload this to your programs page. It allows us to use Skype and
the program will speak Skype related events, such as incoming or
outgoing calls and chats, contact status changes, and so on. The scripts
are still nice but Skype Talking replaces, in most cases, the
functionality of Skype Watch, which is now broken as of Skype 4.2.
SkypeTalking uses the Skype API along with the JAWS API to speak the
events. But SkypeTalking doesn't just work with JAWS; other screen
readers are also supported. If no screen reader is running or you're
using a screen reader that SkypeTalking doesn't support, it will work
with your default SAPI5 voice.
Hope this helps.
Thanks in advance for the upload. It's free and open source.

if you've gone into, skype/options/audio,

you now may need to go into, sounds/recording device,
choose your default mike, and set the recording level,

Go to Skype. Tools menu. O to open options.

Down arrow once to the audio tab.

Tab once and you'll be in the microphone combobox. I'll bet it is on modem
line emulation. Up-arrow to change it to your soundcard.

Re: [JAWS-Users] skipe

2010-04-07 Thread Steve
Set it on whatever you use for other recording programs or for-the-people if
you use that where you know your mike works.

Go into your sound volume control settings and make sure you have your mike
selected. Make sure you set the level fairly high to start with, say around
75%.

My guess would be to try the first option first, if that doesn't work, then
try the integrated microphone array first, do a test call to the echo server
and see if you hear yourself.

2010-04-06 Thread Kimsan
Hi,

I can't remember if someone posted this link here on this list but does
someone know where I can get skipe talking and are there different versions
of this skipe talking?

The problem I am having right now is when I am chatting w/someone via skipe,
I don't know how to read what they wrote without using the jaws cursor.

Thanks all, and have a great day.

2010-04-06 Thread Kimsan
Ok I installed the skipe talking so I am currently chatting with someone via
skipe and I do not know how to read what they wrote without using the jaws
cursor.
Also, it says not in a conversation window when I press alt 1(which might be
the wrong keys ) so what do I do?
I haven't used skipe in forever, so I will need some help with getting back

You can get Skype 4.2 from www.skype.com/go/getskype. You can get the
scripts on the home page at www.dlee.org/skype. Unless you have a 64 bit
operating system there is no reason to use the executable, otherwise use
the archive. Hope this helps.

Ok I installed the skipe talking so I am currently chatting with someone

Also, it says not in a conversation window when I press alt 1(which might

[JAWS-Users] skipe

2010-04-06 Thread Kimsan
Hi Folks:

Ok, I just got off skipe with someone and we couldn't accomplish anything.

I have precluded that the during the skipe calls, the other
person can hear everything that I am doing and can hear my jaws, I can hear
them talk but they cannot hear me talk.

I'm using skipe 4.1 using scrips 4.2 on a windows 7 machine using jaws 11.

I hope someone can help or provide more help seeing as I am out of

Re: [JAWS-Users] skipe

2010-04-05 Thread chris hallsworth

Hi David,
Please upload this to your programs page.

Hello Patti;

1, you first need to install the skype-talking program,

2, run your skype program,

3, run the skype-talking program,

4, Then you need to authorize the skype-talking program through Skype's
options, advanced, allow a
program through Skype.

the program runs in your system tray.

each time you use skype, you'll need to start the skype-talking application.

Re: [JAWS-Users] skipe

2010-04-05 Thread David
Hello there;

one thing I can say about the skype-talking program, if you have lots of
activity with skype, example; contacts signing in and out, in coming calls,
etc, I found the program a little annoying, jaws will announce all the
contacts coming online, offline, etc.

if you like this, then? the program should suit your needs.

Hello Patti;

1, you first need to install the skype-talking program,

2, run your skype program,

3, run the skype-talking program,

4, Then you need to authorize the skype-talking program through Skype's
options, advanced, allow a
program through Skype.

the program runs in your system tray.

each time you use skype, you'll need to start the skype-talking application.

Does this work in Skype 3.8 on telling you who is calling, and where do you
put the scripts, or when you download it, it will go n its right place?
Patti

 Hi David,
Please upload this to your programs page. It allows us to use Skype and
the program will speak Skype related events, such as incoming or outgoing
calls and chats, contact status changes, and so on. The scripts are still
nice but Skype Talking replaces, in most cases, the functionality of Skype
Watch, which is now broken as of Skype 4.2. SkypeTalking uses the Skype
API along with the JAWS API to speak the events. But SkypeTalking doesn't
just work with JAWS; other screen readers are also supported. If no screen
reader is running or you're using a screen reader that SkypeTalking
doesn't support, it will work with your default SAPI5 voice.
 Hope this helps.
Thanks in advance for the upload. It's free and open source.

Hi, all
Using skipe 4.1, jaws 11 and window 7. I set up my microphone by going to audio

Re: [JAWS-Users] skipe and chat

2008-08-30 Thread aiden gardiner
Holger,

If you have the scripts, and you've used windows live messanger, the hot
keys are the same, IE grov accent key to repeat the last message sent or
received, and alt + 1 through 0 to repeat previous messages, press these
keys twice to virtualise.

Hope this helps,

Aiden

What is the best version of Skipe to use with Jaws 7.1? If its not 3.5 wich
is the latest, then where can I get an older one?

thanks to all
