Hi Mandy,
the lack of folders in the folder pane may be due to it being set to a
compact view. To check if this is the case, press alt+v to move to the name
of the view tab, and then press tab quite a few times till you get to a
compact view button. If Jaws reads this as compact view button pressed, then
press the button to turn the option off.

best wishes,

Hello Mandy;

If you want to hear unread messages you can do the following;

You need to label the jaws graphics for the unread, and attachments.

To do this try the following;

In Windows Live Mail Do the following steps to label the unread and
attachment graphics in the message list, so they will be announced.

1. First make sure that within the Windows Live Mail application that it is
configured to read labeled graphics. Without Configuration Manager set this

way, the message status will never get read.

2. Temporarily set the verbosity to read all graphics by pressing
Insert+V=adjust jaws options, now press the letter G until you hear
Graphics. Press the Spacebar until it announces all,

then press Enter. .

3. Move to an unread message, then route the JAWS Cursor to the PC Cursor by
pressing Insert + NumPad minus (-).

If your using a laptop layout, you would press caps-lock-key+left bracket.

4. Navigate to the left of the unnamed graphic message by pressing
Ctrl+Left-arrow.

5. Press Insert+G to label the graphic. Type in unread without the quotes,
and press Enter-key.

6. Press the NumPad plus to make certain that the PC Cursor is enabled.

7. Move to a message with an attachment, then route the JAWS Cursor to the
PC Cursor.

8. Move on top of the unnamed graphic to the left of the message by pressing
Ctrl+Left-arrow.

9. Press Insert+G to label the graphic. Type in attachment without the
quotes, and press Enter.

10. Press the NumPad plus to make certain that the PC Cursor is enabled.

11. Set the verbosity back to read labeled graphics by pressing
Insert+V=adjust jaws options, then press G until you hear Graphics.
Insert+Press
Space until it announces labeled,

then press Enter.

Hope this is helpful.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Display of Email with Windows Live Mail.

2011-08-31 Thread David
Hi Mandy;

No problem I understand.

You first need to;

Open the WLM;

Now insert+v=adjust jaws options,

Now press the letter g until you hear;
Graphics,
And you need to set it to all, by pressing the spacebar,
And then tab close.

Now, when you look at your email, you will hear;
Graphic,
You now need to highlight a known unread message,
Route jaws to pc,
And ctrl+left arrow, you need to be to the left of the graphic number,
Now, you can perform the rest of the steps.

Have a good day.

Yes David I think that quick view is open although it doesn’t show up
immediately but at the top I see unread feeds, unread watched and then all
unread email and then all inboxes and all drafts etc.
I think somewhere I have hide read messages but if I space on this it just
takes me back to the emails.

Mandy.

Hi Mandy,
the lack of folders in the folder pane may be due to it being set to a compact
view. To check if this is the case, press alt+v to move to the name of the view
tab, and then press tab quite a few times till you get to a compact view
button. If Jaws reads this as compact view button pressed, then press the
button to turn the option off.

best wishes,
another David.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Display of Email with Windows Live Mail.

2011-08-30 Thread David
Hello Mandy;

If you want to hear unread messages you can do the following;

You need to label the jaws graphics for the unread, and attachments.

To do this try the following;

This doesn't seem to work which is slightly annoying particularly if there
are emails with attachments. I didn't have to set it up with the original
Windows 7 and live mail..
