I didn't mean the label literally; I guess I should have said I didn't see any. As I said, I'm not all that shocked. Except for a little e-mail, I haven't had a functioning Internet connection since last spring, I mean 2014, and I think it was a freak accident then. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Michael B. Mike, in the disk cleanup option of my hard drive properties, I don't see any "old Windows updates" item, but if I tab once beyond this list to "view files" and activate it, another list appears with "old windows updates" plus additional items that did not appear in the first list, like service pack backup files 306 KB, setup logs 3.45 KB, windows cleanup 1.9 GB, system queued error files 4.57 KB. and Trish's question was is, it, safe, to cleanup (delete) old windows updates? in addition, is it safe to cleanup (delete) the items I mentioned? your and other input from others are appreciated, calling Carlos, Joseph, the other Mike, etc. On 6/11/2015 9:42 AM, Michael B. wrote: Hi Again Trish, I forgot to mention that if you don't see an option in that list for old Windows Updates to be removed, this means there aren't any old updates. Hi Mario, On my computer, after pressing the spacebar on the, Disk Cleanup Button, & the disk analysis is completed a list is displayed showing the things you mentioned, & 1 more tab is the button for Description of the files you will be deleting. I've never used the, Description View Files, button before so, when we get back home I'll do these steps on another computer to see what this button is all about & get back to you. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] Old Window's Updates Removed?
I see. Well, I didn't have the "old updates" option. Did have the "window's update" it was already checked. This is similar to disk cleanup, with the exception of the window's update. I performed the steps, freeing up 389/mb. However, when I went to window's update, there still is the very long 200+ list of updates going back to 2011. So, I guess my way of thinking what is "old" doesn't mesh with what window's thinks apparently, lol Thanks again for all your help! Trish - Original Message - From: Michael B.
