Re: [JAWS-Users] Old Window's Updates Removed?

2015-06-15 Thread Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)
I didn't mean the label literally; I guess I should have said I didn't see any.
As I said, I'm not all that shocked. Except for a little e-mail, I haven't
had a functioning Internet connection since last spring, I mean 2014, and I
think it was a freak accident then.

Hi Ted,

After running the analysis in disk cleanup & the list appears, to delete old
Windows updates isn't listed as Old Windows Updates, it's just Windows Updates.
It will say something like Windows Updates 672 MB or 1.2 GB. If you check
this option to delete, the mentioned amount of disk space will be freed up
affter deleteing the old Windows updates.
Take Care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Old Window's Updates Removed?

2015-06-11 Thread Trish
I see. Well, I didn't have the "old updates" option. Did have the "window's
update" it was already checked. This is similar to disk cleanup, with the
exception of the window's update.
I performed the steps, freeing up 389/mb. However, when I went to window's
update, there still is the very long 200+ list of updates going back to 2011.
So, I guess my way of thinking what is "old" doesn't mesh with what window's
thinks apparently,lol

Thanks again for all your help!

Hi Again Trish,

I forgot to mention that if you don't see an option in that list for old
Windows Updates to be removed, this means there aren't any old updates.
Also, each of those options will say how much space is currently being used
by that particular item.
Take care.
