Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem With IEMax JAWS Scripts
I reported the problem with the Control-K command to Jamal Mazrui, and he agreed that it was an oversight on his part that would be fixed in the next release of IEMax. Since Control-E is already assigned to the web search command, Control-K will be reassigned to the add temporary place marker command in the next release of IEMax. Hello, One way to get script uninstalled is to delete the compiled file or binary with extension .JSB. You can keep source and other files on your PC. To delete the binary file from IE scripts: open IE open script manager insert +F2, type s for script and enter You should now be in user scripts for IE. control+o for open tab to file type and select all and enter You should have a list view of all script files for IE arrow down to JSB file which is extension for binary file delete the JSB binary file from script manager Now you will use the default scripts for IE. If you wish to recompile and recreate the binary file go into IE source file IE.jss and save to recompile - Original Message - From: Gerald Levy bwaylimi...@verizon.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 7:41 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem With IEMax JAWS Scripts I recently installed the IEMax JAWS scripts which are supposed to enhance the functionality of Internet Explorer. Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem With IEMax JAWS Scripts
Hi Mike, Fortunately, I saved the original message about the IEMax and FXMax scritps: Hi listers. Jamal Mazrui has released two powerful JAWS scripts, FxMax for Firefox 3.x: http://EmpowermentZone.com/FxMax.exe And IEMax for Internet Explorer 7 and above: http://EmpowermentZone.com/IEMax.exe which add all sorts of capabilities to these browsers, one of which is easy interface with the Salona service for solving CAPTCHA's. Once installed, press JAWS key-H while focused on the browser for a complete guide to using these scripts. Press JAWS key-Control-Space for a list of 35 web client utilities which work like the Research It feature in JAWS 11. Very useful, especially if you're using an earlier version of JAWS like I am. For the most par, they do just that. But I discovered a problem with them. When I press Control-K to add a temporary place marker on a web page, I get instead the web Search command. Is there an alternative JAWS command to add a temporary place marker with IEMax? If not, how do you delete the IEMax scripts and restore IE to normal? Thanks. I checked the JAWS 9 dictionary manager but could find no commands for adding a temporary place marker either in the list of commands for IE or the list for IEMax. This is apparently a huge screw-up. Is there any easy way to restore JAWS 9 to the exact state it was in before I installed the IEMax scripts? Or have I lost the ability to add and locate temporary place markers forever? As I said, pressing Control-K now invodes the web search command, which is also invoked with Control-E. I don't understand why two different keystrokes were assigned to the same command. Hi Gerald; Thank you very much for reposting the download links. I will get past my PICNIC moment and save them in a place where I'll find them! LOL Thanks again. Take care.
