[JBoss-user] [Installation, Configuration Deployment] - Re: JBoss 4.0.4GA and JAXB

2006-05-17 Thread tdevos
Thank you for your reply Dimitris.

I already tried that but this gives the same result. I tried to experiment
further reading the wiki`s about the classloading issues but unfortunatly
wihtout any result. I don`t understand why JBoss uses an own implementation of
the javax.xml.bind package. Am I right that the the javax.* and java.* packages
are always loaded through the default class loader. Maybe this explains,
however doesn`t solve the problem.

Am I right that in JBoss 4.0.3SP1 the JWSDP libraries where compatible but not
for JBoss 4.0.4? Is it usefull to update to jwsdp 2.0? However, this contains
an early access release of JAXB 2.0 and maybe this is not recommended for a
production environment.

Tim De Vos

[JBoss-user] [JBossWS] - JBoss 4.0.4GA and JAXB

2006-05-17 Thread tdevos
Hi everyone,

I started the problem on the installation and deployment forum but I was asked
to move to this forum.

I try to upgrade our JBoss 4.0.3SP1 to JBoss 4.0.4GA. In our application we
make use of JAXB. In JBoss 4.0.3SP1 I added the JAXB JWSDP 1.6 libraries to the
default/deploy/lib directory and everything worked fine.

However, if I follow the same procedure for JBoss 4.0.4GA (putting the JAXB
JWSDP 1.6 libraries in default/lib) I got the following exception when
deploying the EAR file.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/JAXBException.

Further investigation shows that this class is defined in 2 jars.
jboss-j2ee.jar (source JBoss) and jaxb-api.jar (source JWSDP 1.6). However then
if I delete the jaxb-api.jar it fails with classes he can`t find which is
normal since they are not in the JBoss distribution.

I found at the wiki that JWSDP is not supported anymore in JBoss 4.0.4GA but I
need to use JAXB and this is not available in JBossWS as far as I know.

I tried to experiment further reading the wiki`s about the classloading issues
but unfortunatly wihtout any result. (Enabled isolation and
Java2ParentDelegation). I don`t understand why JBoss uses an own implementation

2006-05-16 Thread tdevos
Hi,

In the mean time I didn`t find a solution for this problem. I already tried
with:

  | server
  |!-- EAR deployer, remove if you are not using ear deployments --
  |mbean code=org.jboss.deployment.EARDeployer
  | name=jboss.j2ee:service=EARDeployer
  | attribute name=Isolatedtrue/attribute
  | attribute name=CallByValuetrue/attribute
  |/mbean
  | /server
  |

But this still gives the error. Nobody has a solution?

[JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS JBossMQ] - Connect JBoss 3.2.5 with JBoss 4.0.3 JMS

2006-01-13 Thread tdevos
Hi,

All our customers are working with JBoss 3.2.5 on their location. They
communicate with each other over JMS. All communication between our customers
is forwarded to a central JBoss 3.2.5 server wich validates and forwards the
JMS message to another JBoss 3.2.5 server. Until now we had no problems since
all servers are JBoss 3.2.5. However, some customers want to update to JBoss
4.0.3. This introduces a problem that the JAR files are not in sync.

Is there a way to connect JBoss 3.2.5 to 4.0.3 and vice versa. The problem is
that the beans deployed on the servers are also sending JMS messages so they
need to have the right JAR files. Maybe there is some kind tunneler which I
can run on the central server to forward the JBoss 4.0.3 messages to 3.2.5.

Does anybody have experience connecting 2 different versions of JBoss regarding
JMS.

Thanks in advance for replying.

[JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS JBossMQ] - Message bridge between JBoss 3.x and 4.x

2005-06-30 Thread tdevos
Hi,

I searched the JBoss site and the internet for bridges to exchanges messages
between JBoss 3.x and JBoss 4.x. There is plenty of information to exchange
messages between JBoss and for instance weblogic but not between 2 branches of
JBoss. I always run into classpath problems when I try to send a message
between a JBoss 4.x server and a JBoss 3.x server which is, of course, logical.

Of course I can update all JBoss instances to the same branch but this will
nearly be impossible to do in a short amount of time since we have many parties
communicating with each other. Does anybody have experience with a problem like
this?

Thanks!

[JBoss-user] [Security JAAS/JBoss] - Digest on - no login module called.

2004-06-09 Thread tdevos
Hi,

I`m trying to use digest authentication with JBoss 3.2.4. In my jboss-web.xml file, I
added a security domain:

security-domainjava:/jaas/my-LDAP/security-domain

In my web.xml I use

auth-methodDIGEST/auth-method

In traced with a debugger. When my auth-method is BASIC, my login module is called.
However when I change the auth-method to DIGEST the loginmodule is even never called.

Anyone a suggestion?

Thanks in advance for replying,

Yes I know. Also the problem isn`t occuring continuously.

However I didn`t manage to solve it using HTTP. Testing with JBoss 3.2.4 RC using UIL2
didn`t have the problem until now.

I mailed you the logs from the server and client. In fact I don`t think that it is a
client problem since only a server reboot solves the problem. Also the JMX-console
reports that there are 0 messages on the queue.

I logged with a trace on JBoss 3.2.3. It`s from a production environment so I was not
able to update to 3.2.4RC1 At 10:31 the problem presited again. A message arrived and
got not delivered to the client. After a JBoss restart the message was delivered
perfectly. If you which I can send you the log file extract (12KB so it`s not that
large) to your e-mail address. Don`t want to spam you with this issue ;-)

[JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS JBossMQ] - Messages only delivered after server restart.

2004-04-01 Thread tdevos
Hi,

Platform: Using JBoss-3.2.3 on W2K server with JDK 1.4.2_03.

I send messages with client A to a JBOSS server. On the server I implemented a
service, just a simple java program, which listens on the queue and puts it on another
queue depending on the content of the message. Client B listens to the same JBOSS
server on the destinationqueue. Everything works fine but sometimes the server keeps
its messages on the queue and don`t passes them to client B. I can see this easily
when I turn on the filePM. The strange thing is that after a restart of the JBOSS
server the messages got delivered immediatly to client B. Has anybody an idea whether
this is a bug or do I miss something?

One more strange thing. If I take a look in the jmx-console it says that there are 0
messages on the queue. However after the restart it gives the correct number of
messages.

Extra information:
- The clients and the queuerouter both use HTTPConnectionFactory. If I mix 2
protocols, e.g. the clients use HTTPConnectionFactory and the queurouter OIL/UIL or
whatever else then this problem is even worse.
- I also implemented onException and no exceptions occur on both client and server.
- It is implemented with onMessage (asynchronous)
- I tried cloning the message instead of just forwarding the message in the router but
this also gives the same result.
- All messages are sended/routed with unlimited timetolive.

Thanks!
