you could write your own, but personally I'd use the ones from
www.mysql.com :-)

 you are using the com.mysql.jdbc driver?
 
 turn up logging in mysql to info or debug to see if any sql statements
 are failing?

I feel, it will great if somebody who have successfully migrated to MySQL,
share the step by step information  also troubleshooting they come across.

I also spent quite a good amount of time, and unable to complete the
migration process. I work on Windows 2000 OS. I guess the unix user are
quite successful in migrating the scripts that got in the jetspeed source
code bundle.

Yes it is. I never get it right the first time either ;) You have to
populate the database. Follow the instructions in the online docs Also check
your log files, they should give a hint as to what is going wrong.
Jetspeed does run fine with MySQL 4

4.1.29 and the initial HSQL db. Yet, when I switch to MySql 4.0.17, I
