[JOYnet] Chosen Generation............
Hai friends, I am pasting a part of a letter my friend mailed. haai more than that you pray to give holiness to all jys. we need that first ask jesus to purify our family. thinks its more important. In emmaus intercession group had a sitting with joemon, then all were stressing that. i was there when these discussions happend. Its very needy i think. abt our parish ministry mainly loosing its clutuches, abt prog. mainly flop, then u know we ourself are not pure. In leaders trainning there was pindrop silence when father mentioned about our holiness, how much holy we are? we most jy r after the systematic prayer and need change isn'? am I wrong??. We are the persons to answer my friend... Because we are the Jesus Youth Blessed are the pure in heart ; For they will see God. Keep in touch, Love from Jesus Dexon. ** This mail is generated from JOYnet, a Jesus Youth mailing list. [JOYnet] Faith! ---- That they may all be one!
Hi! I am attaching a reply I got from one of 'my brothers in the Lord' for some queries I have asked him!! I am not answering this myself because anyone could find the answer in the 'Catechism of Catholic Church' I am attaching a clipping here. Regards, Manoj Jons : Cochin/India. reply I got- dear brother since you know the truth and refuse god's church he created for everyone, the only one holy see, if you do not return to the catholic church, then there is nothing i can tell you except that i am sad and i want to tell you not to play with you life and contact a priest and know this is true and return to God. for god created the holy see upon the 1st pope st.peter and it continues and those who turn away from it are going away from him and those who go away from him are on their way to hell. sorry to tell this. but truth is truth. for now that you can see and that you are not blind, please do not turn your back to the truth and god and his teachings. my uncle and aunt went to be protestants for silly reasons and all false theories they accepted. i tried to reason, make them understand, but even when they had all the evidences and all things before them, they did not accept. this is nothing but the work of satan. thank you hoping for your return, in the name of jesus christ from Catechism of Catholic Church-- --- 817: In fact, in this one and only Church of God from its very beginnings there arose certain rifts, which the Apostle strongly censures as damnable. But in subsequent centuries much more serious dissensions appeared and large communities became separated from full communion with the Catholic Church - for which, often enough, men of both sides were to blame. The ruptures that wound the unity of Christ's Body - here we must distinguish heresy, apostasy, and schism - do not occur without human sin: 818: However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church. 819: Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements. Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him, and are in themselves calls to Catholic unity. 820: Christ bestowed unity on his Church from the beginning. This unity, we believe, subsists in the Catholic Church as something she can never lose, and we hope that it will continue to increase until the end of time. Christ always gives his Church the gift of unity, but the Church must always pray and work to maintain, reinforce, and perfect the unity that Christ wills for her. This is why Jesus himself prayed at the hour of his Passion, and does not cease praying to his Father, for the unity of his disciples: That they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be one in us, . . . so that the world may know that you have sent me. The desire to recover the unity of all Christians is a gift of Christ and a call of the Holy Spirit. 822: Concern for achieving unity involves the whole Church, faithful and clergy alike. But we must realize that this holy objective - the reconciliation of all Christians in the unity of the one and only Church of Christ - transcends human powers and gifts. That is why we place all our hope in the prayer of Christ for the Church, in the love of the Father for us, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. ** This mail is generated from JOYnet, a Jesus Youth mailing list. [JOYnet] A Word of Encouragement
Hi, Speak your Mind! Luke 22:42 Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Some people have such an inhuman view of spiritual perfection that they fear voicing their desires or opinions in the hearing of the Almighty makes them guilty of some sin of being an upstart. Jesus does not reflect this at all. He knew that it was God's will for him to suffer. But still, as a Son and not a slave, he also knew that he could speak out his fears and wishes, though with submission to God's will. That is because God is a Father, not a Fate, and he listens to us as his children, not his slaves and chattel. Today, speak your mind to God as a beloved child and offer yourself, your fears, your loves, and your will. love n prayers, Josachayan / Saudi Arabia ** Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! [JOYnet] Fwd: LIVE IT: Managing Life -- To turn on God, turn off TV
TO TURN ON GOD, TURN OFF TV How much time do you spend watching TV during a typical week? You may never have kept track of all the hours you devote to TV programs, but when you add it up, your time investment might surprise you. If your TV sets were to become lost or broken, how else would you spend all that time? God has plenty of other activities for you to engage in - more productive and creative activities than simply watching TV. Here are some reasons why you should consider turning off TV, and some ways you can do it: Every moment God has given you on Earth is precious time that He wants you to use wisely. When you use time to watch TV, you lose valuable moments that would be much better spent on activities that help you grow closer to God and other people. Ask God how He would like you to spend your time, and be willing to do so. While some television programs can be edifying, most feature content that conflicts with Scriptures -- encouraging anger, lust, coveting, destructive language and laziness. Repeated exposure to such messages will negatively affect your mind, and your children's minds. As a household, try taking a one-week break from TV and other forms of passive entertainment (such as movies, video games and surfing the Internet for non-educational purposes). Notice how you and others in your family feel during that week, and how you all spend the time you normally would have used to watch TV. Hide your TV sets and remotes, or remove them from your house, both during your one-week break and afterward as God leads you to do so. If you choose not to completely eliminate TV, you may want to limit it in ways such as only watching during daylight hours or making sure that the daily time you spend watching doesn't exceed the time you spend praying each day. Plan more active pursuits into your days (such as outings or creative projects). -- By Whitney Hopler, Live It Editor Kevin C. [JOYnet] A small suggestion
I have a small suggestion, let us try to write more about Jesus and his love and care for us. Let it be more like a prayer group where we share our personal, some times too silly but still really wonderful experience of Jesus Christ. And of course about all the activities of Jesus youth and other youth movements also.
