My Dear JYs Being back from a such wonderful Youth Retreat at Divine really means lot. First of all I would like to wish all of you a belated Christmas and a Happy New Year. When I came back I was really looking forward to all the mails which I missed in those 10 days I was away. My Inbox didnt disappoint me. There were load of mails. There were plenty of wishes. There were party invitations, bashes, There were plenty of ppl excited abt how they were going to celebrate new year. And then for once I felt a bit of tingling. As I looked deep inside of me, I realised something so important. I am sure we all know. 2002 means 2002 years after the death of Christ. Such a wonderful rejoiceful moment because of what our lord did to save humanity 2002 years ago. And yet we are here rejoicing and celebrating those 2002 years with certain elements - elements that goes against all virtues of what Christ stood for. Today we have midnight shows, drink parties. Why our own bretheren have even planned how they are going to celebrate their time after the midnight mass today. But nobody has ever thought how they are going to celebrate the midnight mass with Christ. After our parties we thank all our friends for coming, for being present. But yet we have never bothered to ever thank God for what he did 2002 years ago. I am sure that as of now If i was to go over to my friends near by and try and tell them to atleast say a small Thank You to our Lord during the Offetory during the Midnight mass they are surely gonna think as usual, here is another Crack come out of Divine Retreat Centre who wants to save the whole world..:) Not that I mind. Looking at the times we are in right now I really wonder what we are celebrating for and then when I look at that Cross and I think of what happened 2002 years ago. For me I guess that is the only Joyful thing we can ever think of celebrating right now. So lets hope this New Year be different for all us. Atleast if not eager for What the Lord has in store for us this New Year, just a small Thank You for he did 2002 years ago would be fine. urs in faith Jason Mumbai. Dear JYs I have just received this mail. When I was into chatting a few months ago I had made many good pals. One was Mathew Carsen who worked for a reputed music company in the WTC. He inspired me once when he told me that he had left his long girl friend cause she wanted to do something which was against the Bible. Anyways we lost contact with each other. After the WTC Attack I had mailed him a concerned mail, wondering if he was alright or not. After that I didnt get any reply and in time I forgot about the whole thing. Today, I got this reply: Hi there This is to inform you that Mathew Carsen has expired due to the sad happening of Sep 11 we pray for his soul that it may rest in peace. this is his wife Sherly. i am sending every one a personal mail whom every mathew had in his Address book also for months i couldn't accept that he is no more but finally i have accepted the fact, please pray for me for i have been married to him for just 6 month and it is really hard , thanks Sherly Carsen + I couldnt blv it and I even checked out the victim list just now. his name is there. You my loving friends.. happy new year. yes this is my first mail i am sending this year. so i thought of sending it to joy net. (sibi thankx for taking note of all the mail i send to joy net!u silly..) well new year celebration was very low profile. but i feel it was good. i spent rather a long time in prayer!(strange for me!)i thought it is better to enter the new year with the lord. so 10.30 i began my thankx giving prayer/ for my surprise i found so many things to thank the lord. (no way i hav completed it, i belive)then i went on to evaluate my last year. i found it was a srange year. a year mixed with joys and sorrows.. tears and laughtersuccess and failures...(pretty funny)but i know even the worse things lord can turn in to good in his schemes of things... well 2001 was the first full year i spent out side india..this year i travelled a lot... more than any year... this year i shared my faith with lot of people...this year lord led me in astrange ways and paths...lot of people made me happy this year..(ofcourse u all my friends in joy net too) lot of people consoled me a lot more than any year.. i lost my brother Roy this year... but lord gave me a lot of brothers and sisters this year(of course u joy netters includes) true, there were moments of failures..sorrow...frustrations...misunderstanding... but above every thing i could see the gentle hand of my Lord leading me...consoling me..that is great is int it? when i finished it was 12 mid night.. i could see the fire work in the city from my room. lot of celebrations were in the city but melbourne rained last night..but people still were in the strets.. i enter the new year with hope trusting the lord more than ever..keeping my hope in the unending goodness of people around me (be proud joy netters.. u definitly include...) see ya latter God bless your new year lov u all heaps jos mathew australia Download Logos, Picture Messages Ringtones for your mobile phone Visit http://mobile.yahoo.co.in This mail is generated from JOYnet, a Jesus Youth mailing list.
