[JOYnet] Jesus said Shobith I will take Care of Joseph

2002-01-02 Thread Shobith Thomas

Hi All

Belated New Year Greetings.
I was deeply blessed by God to be with him
Now I had told you about a friend of mine
Joseph. He was willing to go to church and
get confessed. But on 31rst as I met him
he told me that his friends had called
him for a boose party and he would come
after sometime.I could not get the grace
enough for me to stop him.I waited but
he didnot turnup. So I called one of his
friends and went.He told me he would come
at 11:45 PM.I told his friend to be there
and bring him to church and I left for my
confession.Now a thought flashed.I am putting
a his friend into a temptation.I recited
a rosary of mercy and left so that
his friend may not fall.God intervened
in such a majestic way that as I was
nearing the party house he way leaving
and the most important thing he left because
he was compelled to smoke.Priase the Lord

I was praying for joseph and all the time
jesus was telling me shobith I will take care of Joseph
We had an adoration and I wrote down some
of the blessing and the most important being
I was delivered by him from the clutches of Sin
At 00:00 we burnt a statue to show that we had
abanded our old self and was clothed with
a new self followed by Eucharistic celebration.
I went home Joseph got up and he was so sorry to
Jesus and he wanted to make a confession in the
morning.Praised be Jesus and all glory to him

I was getting ready in the morning he asked shall
we pray.I was overjoyed at the mighty working
and we prayed for about half an hour and he also
told me that we would pray together morning and
in the evening and we should also pray for the
Whole world. He also wanted to recieve Christ
and this was the greatest miracle that Our Lord.
He made his confession it took about an hour.
I was playing with the Novices at the ashram.
Fr Johnson came and told me that there is
New Ordination at our parish and come if possible.
Oh what a miracle.I went along with Joseph and
he received Christ on New Year.So now Jesus had
kept his promiseShobith I will take Care of Joseph. We prayed
in the evening and we rested. He told me kick him up
if he doesnot get up for church.

Today morning I was late for church and you must
hear how regretted to Jesus that he could not
get up though I was the one who was supposed to
call him.As we were praying the milk was boiling
and I started to clean up.He told me to clean it
after prayer. So that is the zeal Christ has placed
on him.Christ told me that I was like Martha
more involved in worldly matters and but Joseph
was like Mary who sat at the feet of the Lord
and had chosen the right way.

With love in christ
Shobith

[JOYnet] New Year Blessings!!

2002-01-02 Thread Josun Jose

Hey you awesome people of God* (copy right, Jose Mathew Australia)
I know this is about 38 hours late, but as the saying goes. Better never than
late! (just checking if u guys are awake!!) I am sending here with my new year
blessings

By the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, The love of God and the fellowship of
the Holy Spirit. May all ye Joynetters have a wonderful, Grace filled and
exceptional New Year..

This year I made only one resolutionthat is, never again to make new year
resolutions, simply becoz yesterday I opened my diary in which I made last
years resolutions, and I noticed something lamentable . I broke each one of
the resolutions I made, what a waste! It would have been better for me to tie
a thermocole round my neck and jump into the shores of the Yamuna river!!!

Today I'm back in office and I opened my email.and guess what after reading
about 52 joynet mails, I broke my this years resolution also! hahaha!

I've made some resolutions I hope to keep them this year. Do pray that I can
keep them ok. The most important being to grow in holiness and to meditate on
the Word of God daily.

My new year celebration was nice. We were invited to breakfast by some of our
Jy chechi's who prepared Kappa and poth curry (tapioca and buffalo meat). We
had a nice praise and worship session, we thanked the Lord for the past year
and then we began to devour. From the 'akrandam' (when you act as though u've
never seen food!!) was evident that we haven't had kappa in a long time!

By the way I forgot to tell u all, I was down with viral fever, its now
better but I've been on a sneezing spree ever since I entered office
today.even now one is coming...acchhh!! excuse me:):) I bunked the
midnight mass and went for the evening mass coz of my fever.

Once again I pray that this year may prove to be an year of growth in every
way for all of us.

Love you all heaps!! (again patent right.oops sorry copy right Jos Mathew!!)

[JOYnet] miracles

2002-01-02 Thread Sony Stanly

Dear friends in Joy Net,

Wish you all a very Happy New Year.
I am seeing every time when I am opening my hotmail so many mails from my
friends in joy net with different nice stories and the miracles of the
almighty to their life. Even in my life also my lord has done so many
miracles in my life also. But from among all that miracles my lord has done
for me a great miracle in my life is on 31st Dec-2001, that miracle I cannot
forget ever in my life. My lord has given back my mother from death. You
know if god's mercy was not there this year will be a sorrowful year for me.
But my god has saved me from all the sorrows that can happen. You know on
31st December my mother was preparing foods for the party on 1st Jan 2002.
when she was cooking the gas stove's one knob was burned and it was not
working properly. So she asked to my brother what to do. Then my brother
came and checked it and told that no problem you can use the other knob, but
do not touch the other knob. Actually my brother was also not knowing about
the danger in that. After saying to her this he went out. When my mother
lighten the stove the fire has blown up like any thing. One second she was
not knowing what to do. But the same time god has shown her one way. She was
having one towel in her hand. She started to fan herself towards the fire
with that towel which is in her hand. While doing that she started to call
Jesus loudly and she off the gas cylinder. Then also the fire didn't stop.
She started to praise the god loudly then automatically the fire off. My god
did not allow the fire to burn even a hair of her body. Lets all praise god
for the wonderful miracle he has done. My mother has seen the death so
closely and came back to life. If we believe 'even the rock can move from
its place.' This is what god has teached us right. It came true in my life.
Praise god and thank god for all the miracle he has done in my life. I
praise god for giving my mother back to me.

With lots of love prayers,

Re: [JOYnet] Leadership!

2002-01-02 Thread diana vincent

Dear All,
I know of one Sink Washing JY, like below mentioned babychayan, even now
when I remember this, (I call it the Sink Washing Episode)it turns my
stomach upside down and if I think of it when I am at the dinning table all
I can do is stop eating...
and the hero in this episode is none other than our lovely Palliachan.
hooo! this happened two years back during an NCDT prog at blore, and folks i
happened to vomit couple o times that night after dinner due to this act of
achan, (seems like that's an area I need healing)I being this extra clean
person, happened to be in the waiting just behind achan,to wash my hands
after dinner and achan with his bare hands started cleaning the sink (i dare
not brief the condition of that sink, worse than what josun has tried to
explain) which i would have washed my hands, eyes closed.
josun! i think these JYs were initially trained to wash sinks and toilets
even before training folks like us! and boy the impact on us! is far greater
than any day long training/retreat sessions.
so Palliachan, i have an area that needs healing because of that action of
urs two years back...
This has changed my outlook since then... though i still cannot venture into
such action i pray for folks who make a living out of such a profession( the
sewage workers)
so... folks next time u see someone do this, u have work! nothing much!
offer me and my area that needs healing.please!
GOD BLESS
Love in Christ.
Diana blore.

Thanx a ton Cuckoo for your awe-inspiring sharing on leadership. I would
like to share with you one of my experiences with a JY leader.

I recall reading one of Ken Blanchard's books where he says .create raving
fans, not just satisfied customers, Raving fans will go and brag about u to
everyone they meet..Here is one such person who has made such an impact on
my life. I first had an encounter with him during my full timership
training. All through the training I noticed so many leadership traits in
this person. For instance, once after lunch we were at the sink washing our
hands and there was a bit of hair etc clogging the sink, many people came
washed their hands and mouths, spat in the sink and went on with life but
when this person came he first removed the hairs, cleaned the sink and then
continued. Another time, when I went into his room I saw him sitting half
draped in a mosquito net! On closer look I saw he was mending the holes in
the net. I am talking about our Emmaus Babychayan(universal animator of
JY!)

One day babychayan came to our Jy house in Delhi. The house was in total
mayhem (that's the state of the house usually!:). He cleaned the whole
house, there were a few chairs that had become incapacitated due to missing
screws and bolts.Babychayan repaired all that. The fan leaves and ceilings
had cobwebs that looked like fishermens nets! They were all cleaned up. By
evening when I returned after work I was absolutely wonderstruck! I
speculated in disbelief aye! have I entered the wrong house by mistake!
(I literally climbed down the stairs once again just to make sure I came to
the second floor!!! many others also were dazzled!) The house was spick and
span. The sinks, toilets and marble flooring had become sparkling white! (a
color I never even knew existed in them!!)

Whenever I have sat to share with Babychayan, I've always felt an aura of
grace surrounding me. He has never condemned me, always seen the good in
me.
Today what I am, I owe a lot of it to the tips I picked up from Babychayan.
During our training, I shared with him that I couldn't get along well with
my sister, Betty (I've always felt she is very uncivilized, brazen and
stupid, moreover she's more capable than me!) After my few encounters with
babychayan, I started appreciating my sister. (and many others) Today Betty
is my best friend, we share a beautiful bro sis relationship.

At home I try to practice Babychayans style of leadership. I haven't been
successful all the time, but I have become better and better with every
try.
One of my happiest moments this year was during this years fulltimership
training when I heard my sister Betty's testimony .she was asked what
motivated her to join the training, she said. my eldest brother Josun has
been my greatest motivation, I have seen a whole world of difference in him
after his training.I'm still in cloud nine hahahahaaa

Love and prayers in Jesus,

[JOYnet] JY NEWS: International JY Gathering World Youth Day 2002

2002-01-02 Thread Lisa Jose

Hey you! Yes, I’m talking to you. (Sorry, don’t mean
to be disrespectful if you’re older.) Now that I’ve
got your attention, I can dive right in

I know it’s been many, many months since we’ve written
in detail, and it’s been an even longer time since we
updated the JY Worldwide News page. For that, I ask
your forgiveness for 3 things: my laziness, tardiness,
and tiredness!! In any case, it’s time to start
moving forward and get some hearts, spirits, and feet
moving and dancing!

Ok, wait, wait, before you skim through the rest of
this email, give me a chance. Come on, come on, I
know we’re all busy, but seriously... how long has it
been since you’ve really had some great fellowship,
where you laughed, cried, rejoiced, let loose, and
released yourself to the freeing Spirit of the Lord?
Do you feel like you don’t know why you’re praying,
and that it’s just the same old cycle? Do you feel
like you’re not getting adequate fellowship from your
group? If it’s been a long time since you’ve felt
“refreshed”, we have just the thing for you to look
forward towhat better way to celebrate and truly
experience who we are as young people in Jesus Youth
than gathering as one unit together, from all
different corners of the globe, to celebrate our
reason for living (and to remind ourselves as well!)?
For this reason precisely, we are reminding you about
the upcoming grand event and encouraging you to
attend:

International Jesus Youth Gathering 2002
in conjunction with
Youth Arise International Festival World Youth Day
2002
July 18th – 28th
Ottawa/Toronto, Canada

What better way to celebrate our faith, our heritage,
and our traditions than with the millions of other
youth in the world who love the Lord and belong to the
same family of the Church?! Answer? There is no
better way!

So you’re probably wondering, “Where is this going to
be held?” and “Who exactly is participating in this?,”
or, “How can I find out more?”, or even, “Are you
crazy?? How in the world do you expect me to pay for
a trip like that?!?!” Well, I only have one thing to
say: God will make a way where there is no way.
Leave the details to Him...He’s an excellent event
planner. :)

As Jesus Youth, we are planning to have a gathering to
use it as a time to grow in our faith life, using
resources and techniques of learning, and to have
fellowship with one another in the process. There are
so many of us who have been communicating with each
other for years, but have never gotten the chance to
meet in person. This will give us the prime
opportunity to do so, expanding the global network in
the process.

I’ll bet you want to know what’s going to happen
there, right? Well, for starters, since it’s a
Catholic event, you can bet that there will be
frequent sacraments like daily mass and confession.
In addition to that, you’ll get to attend different
workshops that will help you learn how to live out
your faith in a more fulfilling way (application),
open your eyes to the truth about teachings of the
Church (catechesis), and use the different means of
media to entertain and educate the artistic side of
the soul (concerts drama).

World Youth Day is a life-changing experience...I can
vouch for that from my own experience last time in
Rome during the Jubilee Year 2000. It was a
tremendous time of grace and mercy. I long for all of
you to experience that as well. The actual event
wasn’t what moved me to the depths of my
soul...rather, it was the experience I had with those
I traveled with, that completely changed my outlook
what it means to live a Christian life. (see archives
for details) I really want every single one of you
that’s reading this to go through that experience as
well. It’s a time for healing, it’s a time for
forgiveness...most of all, it’s a time for Christian
love.

Moreover, we can learn a lot from each other if we
really make an effort to make this event a success.
There’s so much we can do to help ourselves grow as a
result of this gathering!...I’m at a loss for words to
adequately express my desire that each and every one
of you be blessed by coming together in Christ’s name
with all Catholic youth from around the world ... all
2 million or so of us that are expected to attend.
#61514; (Now if that isn’t a party, I don’t know
what is.)

So, does it sound worth it yet? If so, at the JY
Worldwide page, you’ll soon find a flyer that will
give you more information about who to contact in your
local area. Those listed on that flyer will have
details regarding the dates, cost, travel, food,
housing arrangements, and registration information.
We will be collecting names and other contact
information for now and will get in touch with you to
fill in the paperwork soon after. If you’re still not
sure about this whole thing, you can still talk to one
of your local contact people and
they’ll be able to convince you. If not, I will have
take all of us through boot camp again. :) Have a
very happy

[JOYnet] God is Able

2002-01-02 Thread biji james

Dear Friends,

“What I believe about God is the most important thing
about me.”
-A.W. TOZER

God is Able

Ephesians 3:14-21
14
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15
from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives
its name,
16
that He would grant you, according to the riches of
His glory, to be strengthened with power through His
Spirit in the inner man,
17
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is
the breadth and length and height and depth,
19
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses
knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the
fullness of God.
20
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly
beyond all that we ask or think, according to the
power that works within us,
21
to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

If an unknown person came to your door offering to
help you solve your problems, would you believe him?
Would you place your trust in him, having no proof of
his abilities or trustworthiness? Probably not.

Why then, do so many people make blind requests of God
without a full understanding of who He is and what He
has to offer? We often encounter persons who are eager
to lift up their immediate needs to God, and yet, they
are hesitant to pursue a personal relationship with
Him.

In today’s Scripture passage, Paul offers a prayer for
the Christians in Ephesus. He prays for them to be
strengthened with the power of the Holy Spirit and for
Christ to dwell in their hearts so they will be rooted
and grounded in love. He closes by addressing his
requests to the God he knows well—a God “who is able
to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or
think” (v. 20).

The truth of this message is that God is able to give
even more than we need, provide more than we ask for,
and do more than we can comprehend. He is trustworthy
and true, honorable and merciful.

Do you understand the character of God? Are you
familiar with His unlimited ability? If you truly want
Jesus to be Lord of your life, reach out to Him. He
will reveal Himself to you in a mighty way.

[JOYnet] Don't ever forget

2002-01-02 Thread biji james

Hi! Friends,

Don't Ever Forget

Your presence is a gift to the world,
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be -
Take it one day at a time.

Count your blessings, not your troubles,
And you'll make it through what comes along.
Within you are so many answers,
Understand, have courage, be strong.

Don't put limits on yourself,
Your dreams are waiting to be realized.
Don't leave your important decisions to chance -
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.

Nothing wastes more energy than worrying -
The longer a problem is carried, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously -
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.

Remember that a little love goes a long way -
Remember that a lot goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment,
Life's treasures are people... together.

Have health and hope and happiness,
Take the time to wish on a star.
And don't ever forget for even a day...
How very special YOU are!

[JOYnet] [Joynet]:Doubt:John 6:1-14

2002-01-02 Thread jannet fernandez

Hi,
Can somebody help me with this portion. Here we read
that Jesus feeds the multitude with bread and fish
from the five barley loaves and two fish that he gets
from the lad.
My doubt is this : Jesus knew how many people were
assembled there and how much bread was required to
feed them. Then why did he have twelve extra baskets
of bread after feeding them. There should be some
significance to what he did.

God has answered our prayers.

Let's continue to pray and work for the
safety of all unborn children...
Let's join hands and work together in all possible ways.

Subject: [JOYnet] From Agra

Dear Joynetters,

Belated HAPPY X'MAS NEW YEAR from Shiney Alexy. After the introduction
in Delhi, we returned to Agra. As U know because of the terrorists attackin
the Parliament, we could'nt move further. Anyway we got an entrancein the
Capital. Let us thank God for that. Meanwhile we met Mr.John Dayal, the
Sec. Gen., All India Christian Councel, and got some valuable
informations. Also we had a conversation with Mr. Benoy (NDTV), a JY, who is
having great contacts with the VIPs and of course he assuredd his helps.
Now Fr. Mathew Koyikkal asked us to prepare a note on Pro-life for
presenting it in the coming CBCI meeting inorder to make Pro-life a National
move.
Any way the ground works are going on as our dreams may come true in the
coming future. Continue praying.
lov prayers
Alexy Shiney
