Dear brothers & sister in christ, I have two things to ask from you.. I have finally landed a job , and that too after 6 months..what a relief. But the good Lord was using this 6 months to drastically change me for my good and by his grace i could get to stay with my baby boy joshua during his formative days..he is 7 months old now and it pains me real hard to leave joshua & sofi behind. I am joining Daewoo Rabia Ltd in Riyadh. I am leaving on 6th afternoon to Delhi, finish all the peperworks and fly off to riyadh after a week. please do pray for my safe conduct and for god protection throughout my future life in Riyadh. My sister Sifi is getting married on 5th may 2002. I dont know whether you believe it or not, There ihas been lot of demonic/satanic bondage in her and around her. people whom we thought we loved and who loved us back, now we have found to doing black magic against us..or getting it done against us. She is getting tense day by day. Satan is putting up a big fight and all of us are real tense here. the whole atmosphere is tense. That was one of the the most traumatising moments of my life..the firsat time in my life i was without a job..doing nothing.. Then..and now I have the Lord ! Dear Friends, we (Sofi, myself and Joshua) are going to see my sister's triplets at Chennai. They are at Velacherry. Joshua will be 5 months old on March 3rd. This is his first Train Journey. Please pray that he wont feel afraid or get ill during the journey. My sister and my father are enstranged. My sister hates daddy due to his nature of long ago. She balmes him for our mother's death. She thinks that he doesnt love her.(but the truth is that he loves all of us very much). She has not come into a spiritual life. Please pray that she will come to know the lord and repent for all her sins and be joined with daddy again. About my daddy, he was bad ..bad meaning BAD! a long time ago, when we were in school. but he loved us (my mommy and us) very much. Now he has changed all his bad ways, but still has not turned to the lord. Pleas pray that he will urgently turn to the lord and repent for his sins. Please pray. [JOYnet] I am in a big predicament
Dear brothers & Sisters in Christ, I have been mailing & reading in joynet for a long time. perhaps some of you would remember, that i was laid off from my company due to severe restructuring. I was at the bleakest point in my life that day when i got my termination letter. it was exactly 1 week after our baby boy (Joshua, doing 4 1/2 months now) was born. But that day night i submitted everything to my Lord and i was relieved of tensions. My lord was guiding me. Now irealise that if I had stayed back in the company(if they had not fired me), i would have landed in bigger troubles due to some cash problem (not by me, but the blame would have been put on me) After that i was living with my family, enjoying my baby. The Lord had guided me to study a course for QMS ISO 9000:2000 Lead Auditor Certification course, certificated by IRCA, UK. I had paid 18000/- to join the course and when the results came out a wek back, i was one of the 10 out 0f 50 who had passed. I had applied to many Quality certification companies in the middle east & abroad for jobs. I had emailed one such man and he had shown interest. Yesterday i received a phone call from him, asking whether i would be interested to work for their organisation in kerala. he was vague about the company(he has not till now, given the name of the company) and the nature of certification work and what i was supposed to do alone in Kerala. I had mailed him back asking for detialed information and today i received a mail from him. he wants me to be a Entrepreunner in kerala and invest to set up an office, develop businessfor certification and i will get 25% of their payment. He said that all the investment in Kerala has to be borne by me. I already have given my papers to my cousin in UAE for preparing a visit visa. I aim to go there and apply to international ceritifaction companies, where i could use my engineering background to audit firms of similar nature of my previous company. there i would be an employee and get a monthly constant salary and perks. if i take the offer of this gentleman, i will be a business man investing my own cash and playing with risk. What should i do? Since you are all my brothers & sisters, please give me your opinions. I dont know what my Lord has in store for me. please pray that i will be shown the right path to take. Hi, As you got up this morning, I watched you and hoped you would talk to me. Even if it was just a few words, Asking my opinion or thanking me for something good that happened in your life yesterday-but I noticed you were too busy trying to find the right outfit to put on and wear to work. I waited again. When you ran around the house getting ready I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were too busy. At one point you had to wait fifteen minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair. I thought you wanted to talk to me but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip. I watched as you went to work, and I waited patiently all day long. With all your activities I guess you were too busy to say anything to me. I noticed that before lunch you looked around, maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me, that is why you didn't bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't. That's okay. There is still more time left, and I have hope that you will talk to me yet you went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done you turned on the TV, I don't know if you like TV or not, just about anything goes there & you spent a lot of time each day in front of it, not thinking about anything- just enjoying the show. I waited patiently again as you watched the TV and ate your meal but again you didn't talk to me. At bedtime I guess you felt too tired. After you said goodnight to your family, you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time. That's okay. Because you may not realize that I am always there for you. I've got patience more than you will ever know. I even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well. I love you so much that I wait everyday for a nod, prayer, or thought or a thankful part of your heart. It is hard to have a one-sided conversation. Well, you are getting up, and once again I will wait. With nothing to do but Love and protect you hoping that today you will give me some time. Have a nice day! Your friend, GOD P.S. In your day to day life you ask others to pray for you..in intercessory prayers. What is wrong if you ask the Saints to pray for you? Dear friends, Just like Lijo my computer was affected by a Virus attack. The fool I am, i had kept the preview pane open in Outlook Express and a "Mailer Daemon" was in the inbox. Actually it was a self spreading Virus which emailed itself to all the contacts in the addressbook of the infected computer..and the virus was W32.badtrans..???something..which my Antivrus software detected but..since it was a variant, it was under quarantine..i donloaded the latest virus defenitions..but the variant viruses could not be repaired. I prayed to God and i installed the entire ME again and the infected files are out. but some still are in quarantine. So folks...if you get something like a code red or melissa...you are a goner... Keep on updating your virus defenitions. those who have configured their outlook express to receive their joynet mails will be afected...most by attacks..since web based email services have their own Anti virus softares running round the clock. bye roshanGet more from the Web. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Well... I feel funny...thinking of what all i was in my past.. I used to be everything against God.. I used to be rationalist...later an agnostic..and then..a atheist...all to run away from my Lord...away from my responsibilities to him.. I have a real good laugh nowadays when i think of what all i used to preach and do.. Now, when i am walking with the lord..I am at peace..it is as if the lord has taken away the dirty shell from my soul and created a new ME! Previously, i used to be jealous..why does the Lord perform miracles for others..why not for me..?? i understood that i had not submitted truly..to the Lord. Now i experience miracles daily...both big and small... He wipes away my tears...fill me with hope that even if the whole world hates me, he will not abandon me.. he has given me my perfect foil, my better half..my wife Sofi..and a bundle of Joy ..Joshua..to compensate for all my loveless years.. Now..I want to walk with the Lord...carry my cross...and be full of Joy.. Sometimes when i ask the lord for something..he says you are not serious enough for it... but when i go to my mother...the most holy virgin mary (yes. after my mother's death 16 years back, i have entrusted the position of my mother firmly to Mother mary and she knows it and love me so) she intercedes for me..and jesus being the most obeiednt son..grants me waht i ask.. Dear Joynetters, This piece of wonder i got to share with you all. Defenitley. I am a person who has come to know Jesus very late..and am still praying for my faith to grow strong. I had earlier mentioned in an email thsat my baby Boy Joshua's baptism was on Dec 31st. I have a younger sister, reeba, who is studying in 6th standard. For the occassion , mummy had given her a gold chain to wear and after the ceremony we returned home and the next day the chain was missing. Meanwhile we had returned back to Adoor, my wife's house. We was informed of the incidence later only. So we prayed that reeba will find the chain that day itself. In the evening Reeba called up to ask us to check our baggage, to see whether the chain could have gone into it by mistake..as she was talking, se was playing with a flower vas on the table. she saw something glitering among the flowers and leaves..YEs! it was her Gold chain. Praise the LORd for hearing our prayers. This has strenghtened my belief..that When you ask in faith..your Lord gives you what you ask for. We had been treating her like a member of the family, never showing any discrimination towards her. She was fooling us over the years and we never realized it for all these years. It was only in the past two years that she began to behave strangely towards us. Now a days she is talking to us in the tone of black mail or so. I had lost my mother at a very young age and here Our Lord has trusted our most immaculate and virgin mother mary as my mother. I felt the love then. I am writing this mail for a particular reason. Our Mother wants us to pry the Rosary daily. The more Rosaries we pray the more better it is, as it is what is required to drive satan away. My idea is like this. Why dont we do like this. let us all make a sort of counter on this page. There should be three categories. : 1. the no. of rosaries that we, at JY have pledged..yes..let us pledge that we at JY will say..so many rosaries 2. Daily updatable count...say i prated 5 rosaries today..i will enter 5 and update the my rosary count 4. balance monthy rosaries left. This can be put on the personal details page..or so.. Hi all, I am writing this mail with great pain. Today, after a lot of searching and discussion (between my wife Sofi and myself) i had decided to go for an Inner Healing retreat at Nirmala Retreat Centre, Kulathuvayal, near perambra, Calicut. My father in law is leaving for Saudi on 22nd and the Retreat is from 18th to 25th. Moreover, i have to attend a 5 day course for Quality management Systems-Lead Auditor Accreditation at Trivandrum from 3rd Dec to 5th Dec. I had informed my Dad that i will be attending an inner healing retreat, but was not sure to which retreat centre i would go. he was happy then, that i was getting some good sense. But, after i received the Forms for the course, i again informed my dad that i am going for a retreat at NRC from 18th to 25th. Then all hell broke loose. he asked me that, in spite of knowing that my Dad In Law is leaving on 22nd , why am i going for the retreat from 18th to 25th?? I informed him that i will be saying goodbye to him on 18th afternoon. But No Use!!I don't know whether it is true or not, but hereditarily, the males in my family are real hot tempered. I had a squabble with my Dad, and he slammed down the phone. When i informed the same decision to my Dad in law, he was cynical towards my decision and was after me to change it, there too i had a sort of a show down. I know, that i angered both my dads and i am sorry for that and I will be conveying it to them (both of them have gone to their respective club for a night out!) But, as a son, and a Christian, i have to obey my parents and i don't want to go against their wishes. Please pray that they will change their minds to allow me to go for the retreat. Dear Friends, Here, Joshua is dong fine. Today, we had the traditional 27/28 kettu. All our relatives had come and it was a quite a nice time. He is such a darling boy. Sofi is doing fine. She is having a tough time taking care of him. But she loves it. My sister, Reena has now the three babies she was carrying. The caesarian operation went well and due to all your prayers, the babies and the mother are doing fine. It is 2 boys and 1 girl. Thank you for all your prayers. I am not sure to what Christian sabha I belong! My grandfather belonged to the Orthodox and due to some misunderstanding with the church authorities; he switched over to Marthoma Sabha. I was born and Baptised in Marthoma. Later, in my teens my father switched back to Orthodox Sabha and we went with him (we didn’t affix any importance to that). I have taken communion in Orthodox Church. Our (my sisters and mine) religious life was nil and when it came to the point of marriage, we had to choose to go back to Marthoma Sabha. My brother in laws family wanted a Marthoma Girl only. All this while, I had no religious feelings. When I married Sofi, she has made such a big turn around in me that now I ask God before I venture out for anything. My greatest wish is to take the Holy Communion in the real way- after a proper confession. My greatest wish is also the union of all the sabhas back into the Holy Catholic Church. Though I am born and brought up in a protestant church, I now believe and pray in the Catholic way. I want to come back into the fold, but am unsure. Only if the Lord says to me to go back into the Catholic Church, I would. Now, I am a catholic believer, though a protestant. I am ardent believer of our most revered Virgin Mary, Our Mother. I had an argument with my cousin, who is a protestant over the intercessory prayers to saints. He says that only Jesus Christ has got the right and power to intercede. Now Humans (including our Mother Mary) have intercessory powers. Please clear my doubt. I want to know more about Saints and martyrs for Christ. Is there any website, which will inform me in the easiest manner regarding their lives. Two saints have really caught my mind and whole heart- St. Maria Goretti and St. Francis of Assissi. However I could try, I could and would never be able to come a million mine close to St. Francis of Assissi. Please pray for me that somebody will guide me through my spiritual growth. My wife Sofi is good guide, but now as she is resting from the pregnancy, she is tired. Is there anybody who can help me out? I am out of a Job by November 10th and now I am searching for a Job. All the earlier tension and sorrow has vanished because now I know that God didn’t want me to continue in the Job because it would have meant stagnation for me both career wise and spiritually. Years ago I had gone to Divine at Muringoor, and there since I was a protestant, I was not able to confess my sins to anyone at all. I felt so low, but confessed my sis to God directly hoping surely that I am pardoned. This is the same what I do now. Seems I am boring you all with all these banter. Hi borhters and sisters, Some time back i had told you about what we (sofi & myself) had decided to call our baby boy.."Joshua". This name was in my mind for some time since sofi became pregnant. i dont know how this name came into my mind. But now I know.. why.. because It was God who whomself who decided the name for our baby. A few days before, when i was still in my workplace, a preacher(we would call him upadeshi in Malayalam) came to sofi's house, and prayed for the baby and sofi. After that he placed his hands on the baby's head and recited in malayalam : Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. from Joshua 1 : 5, We had neither told any one else of our decision to name the baby Joshua. Actually we had a plan, if it is a boy, the name will be Joshua, if it is a girl, the name will be Mirriam. May be you might think that these are coincidences, but i strongly believe that The God our Lord, will be with Joshua throughout his life. Dear Brothers and Sisters, it was with the greatest of Joy i mailed to you all to inform you all about the birth of our baby boy Joshua. I was on the Top of the World then. Yesterday.. i got a letter from the company..laying me off...in a sense..giving me one months time to search for a job..i am out of a job on 10th novemeber 2001. i dont know what went wrong. i was doing my job to the fullest of my ability. My company is going through a very bad phase. but there are corrupt persons who still cling on. i am not a person who highlights his achievements or blow my own trumpet. i dont lick any ones' shoes. these are my drawbacks in this company. i dont know what happned really or who is behind it. here at this site, i rubbed my manager the wrong waycat the beginning of the project itself. he was on a vengeance spree.i have forgiven him for all that. when i got the letter i was in a shock, thinking of the baby and sofi. but by evening, i had prayed a lot, and had come back to my senses. my company is not the only company in the world. there are lots of companies. iam going to try for another job. i dont want to know the reasons for my termination. it will make my mood worse. now i have left everything to God. My wife Sofi has given birth to a baby boy on 3rd october at 7 pm at Century hospital at Mulakuzha , chengannur. Thanks to our Lord and to our gracoius mother Mary, both the mother and baby are fine.
