Re: [JPP-Devel] georecify

2010-08-08 Thread Giuseppe Aruta
Hi
Kosmo SAIG has a georeferencing tool too. The two softwares (OJ and Kosmo) are
very similar in tools and design. This helps a lot a newby in GIS not to learn
different GIS

 Hi,

It is up to you. If you want to do georeferencing with
OpenJUMP then you must write some georeferencing tool for it
because no such tool exists now.  If it is OK for you
to use some other open source GIS tool for referencing you
can use Qgis or gvSIG which already have georeferencer tool.
But of course there is room for more georeferencing tools if
you do not like the existing ones or you do not want to use
 other programs than OpenJUMP.

2010-08-05 Thread Larry Becker
If what you want to do is use OpenJUMP as a font end to gdalwarp, it isn't
really all that difficult. I recommend using the command line utility:
http://www.gdal.org/gdalwarp.html . You can find the OJ support classes to
launch external programs at:
org.openjump.core.ui.plugin.customize.CmdRunner.
