I also get this error message.
I didn't add the removable device to any other system.

This message is there for a pretty long time and (a little) annoying since it
works (status icon for device changes accordingly).

To me it seems like a "Error: Success" error message or dolphin somehow does
try to mount it twice.

Encountered this behaviour is on both Manjaro and ArchLinux for at least a year
(probably even longer).

Sorry, I forgot to mention that, but that is indeed an important workaround.
Thanks

> Adding a link to the bugs you're CCd on to the home page
> would probably suffice to implement the requested feature.

Unfortunately not really. This is a request to list *all issues* affecting
oneself, and *only these*. As an issue triager, what you're suggesting would
show lots of "false positives" for me.

> > "My Bugs" should probably be renamed "Issues I reported" to avoid confusion.
>
> The home page already has a link to this called "Open bugs reported by me".
> That's pretty clear.

This is not about providing a clear link to "My Bugs". This rename is about
preventing *confusion* between "My Bugs" and the page requested. If there's a
link called "My Bugs" and another one called "My Issues" next to it, users will
wonder which one to use. Naming one "Issues affecting me" reduces confusion,
but to minimize it "My Bugs" should also be clarified.

Hi,

same problem here. I noticed that sync of calendar data with my baikal server
stopped. Fiddling through the apache logs and with the help of the
"akonadiconsole" tool I found "RRULE:ERROR: No Value" entries causing the
baikal server scripts to fail.

Here, it is enough just to add a new calendar entry in "kontact", giving it
just a name and some arbitrary duration, and kaboom.

Like Tim Schäfer, I'm also running Gentoo Linux with the same most recent
software versions.

Interestingly, libical is missing here! No package is pulling it in as a
dependency anymore.

Florian

In other words, your fix seems to me like "solving a bug" because session

management is not really fixing any bug (as it is not necessarily expected) but
would be an extremely cool feature and a remarkable difference with respect to

This is very much wanted and needed. However, this seems to be a fix "only" for
session restoration, but not for session management (as in Kate), which is what
the issue ultimately is about, and all Okular users here are so excited about.
Am I wrong?

Please don't get me wrong, I am very happy about your fix. But IMO, the session
manager would really make a difference.

Here I see a hand shaped cursor after the steps provided by OP.

But I can reproduce this issue by a different way.
start Wayland session
open kate and dolphin
drag a text file from Dolphin and drop it on kate
hover over the breadcrumb of dolphin or move cursor from its places panel to
its files view
a green circle appears together the cursor.
Such behavior stops after I restart Dolphin.

No idea personally -- I'd love to hear back from someone who knows more about
it. Since it's just the widget and upower still works fine, for the time being
I've been running a script I saved as "batstat" from KRunner when I want to see

On a902eddf0d84b1561e7c7ee75164e58fdeaf8672 face detection takes unreasonably
long again, I assume because the new face recognition branch was merged in. I
left it running for some 10 hours and got to 25%, and it didn't crash in that
time at least. I can't really leave it running much longer than that for a test
in a single run, since I want to be able to use the computer and digikam takes
up a lot of resources.

Corrupted Vocabulary file which can be opened in edit mode, but not in practice
mode

SUMMARY

Parley used to work fine for me until yesterday - The following steps seem to
have corrupted my vocabulary file:
1. I entered practice mode and practiced both in "known -> learning" and
"learning -> known" mode, using the attached vocabulary file.
2. I opened a downloaded vocabulary file from the file menu (File->Open Recent)
3. I practiced with the downloaded vocabulary file
4. I opened the other vocabulary file again
Now, my vocabulary file seems to be corrupted, because I cannot enter practice
mode anymore without Parley crashing immediately. I can still open the file in
editor mode, if I open the file from Dolphin.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Load the attached file into Parley
2. Start Practice Mode
--or--
1. Load the attached file from the Parley Dashboard (which opens the file in
practice mode instead of editor mode)

OBSERVED RESULT
Parley crashes with a segfault (see attached backtrace)

EXPECTED RESULT
Parley opens the file in practice mode

Bug ID: 413719
Summary: Please implement Vulkan rendering in KWin
   Product: kwin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: shtetl...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Currently KWin is using OpenGL 3.1 for rendering (or 2.0 or Xrender
optionally).

It would be good to implement Vulkan renderer for many reasons. Not only Vulkan
drivers have less bugs and more commonly provide more stable experience, but
from the integration perspective, let's say when someone brings Plasma to a new
hardware platform, it's easier to implement a Vulkan driver for it first, than
OpenGL one which is a ton more work overall even for 3.1. This way, Plasma
could be brought up sooner, due to having easier to create prerequisites.

As an example, consider something like Librem 5 and such. Instead of working on
OpenGL support there, Vulkan could be the first focus (smaller effort) and then
something like Plasma Mobile could have been used there sooner.

Either way, Vulkan is the modern GPU API, so it would be good to have it as an
option for KWin, so I'm opening this to propose it and keep track as well.

[kwallet-pam] [Bug 400929] kwallet-pam errors when logging into Plasma from lightdm

2019-11-01 Thread PhobosK
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400929

The same issue still persists.
Actually I have never been able to use pam-kwallet properly.

The system is still Gentoo, though some of the versions are a lot more recent:

lightdm 1.30.0
kwallet-pam - 5.17.2
pam - 1.3.1
plasma-workspace - 5.17.2
plasma-framework - 5.63.0

PAM files are the same as in my previous post.

The errors are like as in @Dmitry's logs...

I added some extra debug code in the pam_kwallet.c to get some extra info:

lightdm[940510]: pam_kwallet5(lightdm:auth): (null): pam_sm_authenticate
lightdm[940510]: pam_kwallet5(lightdm:setcred): pam_kwallet5: pam_sm_setcred
lightdm[940510]: pam_kwallet5(lightdm:session): pam_kwallet5:
pam_sm_open_session
lightdm[940567]: pam_kwallet5: final socket path: /run/user/501/kwallet5.socket
lightdm[940567]: pam_kwallet5-kwalletd: Couldn't listen in socket because:
95-Operation not supported
lightdm[940510]: pam_kwallet5(lightdm:session): pam_kwallet5: Couldn't fork to
execv kwalletd (default state of the switch) because of status: 256-1

I am not an expert in sockets coding and operations, but it seems there is a
problem with the socket usage at listen(envSocket, 5) level - with this error
95.
Besides the forked child at start_kwallet(...) obviously exits with error
because of this(256 is the status value and the 1 is the WEXITSTATUS(status))
The folder /run/user/501 has the appropriate user permissions

Anyone of the developers?
Do you need more debug info?
This is already a year old problem that has not been still resolved :(

know if the bug is resolved in 7; i can test.

[frameworks-kglobalaccel] [Bug 413718] New: Impossible to assign global shortcut Meta + 2

2019-11-01 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413718

Bug ID: 413718
Summary: Impossible to assign global shortcut Meta + 2
   Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel

  Platform: Neon Packages

Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

SUMMARY

I tried to configure KDE to switch to desktop #1 with Meta + 1, desktop #2 with
Meta + 2 and so on. This worked for the 4 desktops I have, except the 2nd. The
Meta + 2 key does nothing even if I can register this combination in the
settings. I tried editing kglobalshortcutsrc by hand as I saw in the config
file that Meta + 2 (not from the numpad) is assigned as Meta + É (not é).

I suspect the french layout I'm using to be the cause of this problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a generic keyboard. Mine is configured as Generic | Generic 101-key PC
(intl.)
2. Set the french standard layout
3. Assign any action in Global Shortcuts to Meta + 2 (mine is in KWin Script
but I tried ohters action).
Important precision : The combination is Meta + 2 with the "2" NOT coming from
the numpad (it's the "é" key on the french keyboard).

OBSERVED RESULT
The shortcut could be assigned but is not working.

EXPECTED RESULT
The shortcut Meta + 2 should be working as the others (Meta + 1, Meta + 3... )

Ok.

So, there isn't really a solution for this :(

So with android videos i have to :

Deal with the end time or use the time adjust tool.

Thanks a lot for the fix with difference of time and the tip for adjust time
based on filename :)

It's a beta. Create a new account and install DK 7.0.0 instead 6.x.

Import images in a new database and play with faces. Check if your problem
still here.

After, uninstall 7.0.0, and go back to 6.x

Like this, using a separated account, you will not touch the production
database generated with previous DK version.

Fix copyright date display in About KDevelop/KDevPlatform dialogs

Passing in a plain int gets localized integer text rendering with
e.g. thousand separator (2.019), which is not what we want here.

By feedback of localization teams the original year span is used, and
not mapped into local calendar systems at least by the active teams,
so just passing in a plain string is fine for now.

Ah yes, with Anroid it was the end time. We can not always tell from the
metadata if it's Android. So subtracting the runtime would not always be
possible. I've just tested the Android samples again with Exiftool, also
Exiftool displays the end time. For me Exiftool is the reference here.

In the tags:/ view one can see all files associated with a certain tag.

(First observation: When I hit Del to delete a tag it is not obvious if only
the tag will be deleted or all files associated with it)

It would be nice if it was possible to see the full path of those files listed

Same on x86-64 box running Fedora 31 (Qt 5.12.5, KDE Plasma 5.16.5, KDE
Frameworks 5.61.0).

Which notifications? Mostly Konsole ones as it is source of >90% notifications
in my system.

Most of notifications hide. Some stay until clicked so I often have hours old
notification popups when I start using computer in the morning.

[kmymoney] [Bug 404473] Make the tags feature optional on the UI

2019-11-01 Thread Jack
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404473

First, I assume this means to disable the feature at runtime, not at compile
time.

Second, should this be expanded to allow disabling any feature where doing so
would save screen estate or simplify the UI, and not remove necessary
functionality? I am just slightly concerned that someone will turn off some
feature, and then forget he did so and wonder why it's not working.

[kmymoney] [Bug 413713] New: make conversion of currency to text language specific

2019-11-01 Thread Jack
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413713

Bug ID: 413713
Summary: make conversion of currency to text language specific
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ostrof...@users.sourceforge.net
  Target Milestone: ---

https://phabricator.kde.org/D25029 made some improvements of the conversion of
currency amounts to text, but it was pointed out in a comment that the changes
are very English centric, and numbers are put in text very differently in other
languages.

It would be good to allow language specific conversion, but I assume this would
require first some framework for selecting the language, to make it easier to
add additional languages.

In addition, I wonder if this might be something that could be handled by one
of the KDE frameworks, so it could be selected as part of the locale. I
suspect that would be an even further future possibility.

I'm not sure if this might be related to bug 255492 (KMyMomney's currency
system should be ported to use KDE currency support)

Hi,

Maybe i didn't explained myself well : i want start time, but all my android
videos has the end time in metadata.

Thanks for the tip with time adjust tool; it work and it is a perfect solution;
when the date is in the filename. It seems to be the case for all my android
videos :)

Do you know why the end time is used as metadata with android video ?

Nothing has really changed between 5.x and 6.x about FaceManagement.

The big changes will come with next 7.0.0. I started to build pre-release
bundles available at usual place:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Please test with this version.
