[gcompris] [Bug 423878] Disabling narration voice makes 4 activities unplayable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423878 --- Comment #10 from Jazeix Johnny --- I don't remember the discussion that led to activating the sounds effects for musical activities when it's muted so I don't remember the pros/cons. Here was the commit: https://invent.kde.org/education/gcompris/-/commit/32e135c1d9988e21005c3d8683efe22f34b883fc (and the differential: https://phabricator.kde.org/D12862) but I don't find any discussion on the mailing list Would having a dialog for the musical activities when the effects are muted would be a solution asking for the user to unmute else it won't work? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 423560] [Windows Store] Filename extension associations and updates resetting them
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423560 --- Comment #4 from Beybalaev Murad Felixovich --- (In reply to Hannah von Reth from comment #3) > Hi if your interested in extending the default associated files, feel free > to fill in the mime types and extensions in here > https://invent.kde.org/packaging/craft-blueprints-kde/-/blob/master/kde/ > applications/okular/okular.py#L53 The list already has to be somewhere in the codebase, since the Windows build comes with one used for internal operation. Okular must be passing it to the OS shell when creating its "Open file" dialog — the dialog lists all of the supported extensions for filtering. That's where I ripped them from for my registry patch. And then I added *.txt on my own, which was not listed for some reason. Here's a screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/lcDWUeQ.png I could format that list to your language and code style, reference corresponding mime types, maybe even test if each of them works nominally on Windows. But... 1. It would be kind of a waste to duplicate something that's already somewhere in the codebase. 2. I'd hate to go through the whole rigamarole of creating a local GitLabs Community account, cloning the whole repo to edit 2 strings and then pull requesting... Do let me know if you can't locate the existing list that's somewhere out there already. I'd look for it myself, but I'd just get lost in the vast KDE codebase. And would it be fine if I just sent a formatted list in a letter, releasing any rights I could have for it, so you can slap your lovely GPL2 on it? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423841 --- Comment #6 from David Hurka --- Make the page name line edit an editable combo box, so it suggests completions? Enter “2”, it suggests: 2 (Page 15) [Default choice] 2 (Page 2) 2 (Page 3) 2 (Page 4) ... Pretty useless in this case, but maybe helpful for other documents with sophisticated page names. (Never seen such a document.) I think it should suggest TOC entries instead. > That pdf is broken having multiple pages with the same page name. [...] > I guess we're choosing the last one. Choosing the last page is probably the best choice, it displays the slide without parts covered by overlays. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423951 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|NEEDSINFO Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO CC||n...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Nate Graham --- Sounds like the update was only half-applied due to your computer turning off in the middle. I would recommend checking for updates again and re-applying the updates--this time with the power cord plugged in. Does that solve the problem? Also I would recommend upgrading to (K)Ubuntu 20.04. 19.10 is no longer supported and ships an old version of Plasma and other KDE software. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
