[digikam] [Bug 389046] Face suggestions disappair each time i confirm one
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389046 --- Comment #29 from nono...@gmail.com --- Hi Maik, "To reproduce it, faces have to be so close together that the widgets overlap. Only then does the problem arise. " Not for me : it happen even when widgets are distant and not overlapped, as you can see on my capture, and I just tried with 7.5.0. I noticed something (since before 7.5.0), I don't know if it is important : when a suggestion is gone (but was present before to disappear) : if I just click on the "Confirm" button, the suggestion is displayed and confirmed (so I use it only if I had time to see that the suggestion was good). But if I just press "Enter" on my keyboard, to doesn't work. Thanks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 448499] New: Feature request - Snapping windows to screen edge presents windows to fill other half
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448499 Bug ID: 448499 Summary: Feature request - Snapping windows to screen edge presents windows to fill other half Product: kwin Version: 5.23.5 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ericedlund2...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY On Windows when you tile a window to the screen edge it presents window options to fill the other side. Then, you can move the border between the split windows to resize both at the same time. Just a convenient feature that I'm sure someone's already thought of, but I figure if I make a report it may inspire someone. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 448486] Unable to upload files from remote/network folders
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448486 john changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- --- Comment #2 from john --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) Hi Nate. > 1. Can you provide a screenshot of what the upload dialog looks like? Is it > the GNOME dialog or the KDE Dialog? I though that you only needed screenshots because of the error. I'm away of any of the Linux machines so I'll only be able to provide the screenshot next Monday. I can advance however that the problem mentioned is in the KDE dialog (I currently work with 4 distinct systems: pure KDE neon, openSUSE Argon, Lubuntu and Windows 10. This problem described happens in neon. SUSE is one machine not in a network and lubuntu machines use GIO) > 2. Are you accessing the Windows share from its URL (e.g. smb://something) > or by a path to a local mount? I'm accessing the Windows share from its URL (e.g. smb://something) > 3. Does the same thing happen if you try to open the file from Gwenview? If I, in a remote image double-click it, it opens in Gwenview with no problem. Same thing happens in office documents. Now, if you mean going to File>open... I can't answer now. Only Monday when I'm back. (I believe I already tried that before, however, and that I was able to open the pictures - but I'm not sure. Next Monday I'll be able to reply with certain) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 448496] New: latency reduction can negatively affect fullscreen gaming, apparently despite direct scan-out
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448496 Bug ID: 448496 Summary: latency reduction can negatively affect fullscreen gaming, apparently despite direct scan-out Product: kwin Version: 5.23.90 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: wayland-generic Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tempel.jul...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Setting latency reduction to "force lowest latency" introduces stutter by dropped frames for Counter-Strike 1.6 (native Linux OpenGL XWayland) fullscreen. It doesn't stutter (at least not more than it should due to the unfortunate mailbox vsync) when setting latency reduction to "force smoothest animations". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. On a really slow Gemini Lake system, run Counter-Strike 1.6 via Steam inside Plasma Wayland (Sorry, I don't have access to faster devices that aren't with Nvidia GPU.). 2. Hold down left or right arrow key to continuously pan the camera. 3. Test with "force lowest latency" vs. "force smoothest animations". OBSERVED RESULT "force lowest latency" affects smoothness of presentation. According to mangohud, the game's rendering performance is fine (~150fps on 60Hz display), so stutter seems to be happening at presentation level. EXPECTED RESULT I think ideally, latency reduction shouldn't affect presentation for fullscreen gaming? The game seems to trigger direct scan-out, as fps are the same as on Xorg with modesetting DDX and compositing suspended. I also updated to latest mesa git-master to make sure dma-buf feedback hopefully is available, but situation didn't change vs. stable Mesa from Arch repo. With Plasma 5.23 Wayland, performance was much lower (~110fps instead of ~160), which should be another indicator for direct scan-out being active with 5.23.90. [krita] [Bug 448431] Audio: Animation playback bug and render bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448431 Emmet O'Neill changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|major |normal Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE CC||emmetoneill@gmail.com Summary|MAJOR Animation playback|Audio: Animation playback |bug and render bug |bug and render bug Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #2 from Emmet O'Neill --- Hi there, Unfortunately this is a known issue. Right now we have a number of problems around animation audio synchronization both inside and outside of Krita. This is something that we plan on addressing in the future, but I don't have any good news on that front right now. Improving audio stability and synchronization is high on our list of animation priorities, but for now it might be easier to achieve a good result using an external program to synch your animation with audio. Sorry about that, and thanks for the bug report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 385589 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
