Looks like Monterey has new dialogs conventions and they are an absolute disaster. If the dialog is modal, the rest of the application can't be reached, and the dialogs no longer can be moved because there's no titlebar anymore. But that's not something we can fix, so, please just press escape, move the docker back and then open the new file dialog again. So, it sounds like a windows manager issue.
