KR> KR Gathering attendance
Well heck, my KR is not going to make it to the Gathering. Sorry Mark Langford, you'll need to find another candidate for the weight and balance forum. I was flying back from breakfast Saturday morning. I air I did a Magneto check in air and the left Mag was running rough. No problem, right side was still fine so I made it back to my airport with no issues. I did the usual checks, replaced a couple spark plugs, looked for loose wiring etc. Rechecked all a couple times but to no avail, my Bendix Dual Magneto needs to be pulled and serviced. It will take a few weeks since I need to mail it off to Tulsa OK (Aircraft Accessories) for service and return. They did the overhaul on it 500 hours ago and it has been running perfectly for the last 500 hours, 7 years. I'll get it reworked and run it another 500. I will still attend the gathering, but won't be flying in now, big disappointment. See everyone next Friday. Since I'm not flying I'll bring some "Root Beer" for the camp fire. Thanks, Rob Schmitt N1852Z Kansas City, MO

Glover's another charter member, and I'm sure there are others. Beverages will help... Mark Langford ML at N56ML.com website at http://www.N56ML.com

I intentionally tried not to schedule anything before Friday afternoon in able to include as many attendees as possible. You're welcome to put the forum on in the terminal conference room and hopefully someone could video for later viewing. If that works for you, reply with a note to Bob Lee to add it to the schedule. I am not so sure that I didnt step put of bounds a bit by suggesting this forum event. I failed to take a look at the forum events that are posted on the KRnet gathering webpage before I sent this out. A look at the activities list gives me the impression that there is a pretty full schedule of activities already. I apologize to Larry and the group for putting this out there before checking the list and following proper decorum.? I am more than happy to share any knowledge or experience I have with painting and finishing and leave that up to Larry. I am currently getting ready to paint my SCCA sports race car and will try to take plenty of pictures of the process and my home made paint booth. The booth is a pretty simple design with a down flow (air) idea. The idea is to basically pull air in from the top and filter exhaust air our of the bottom back side. Its a simple erector set style idea using ?2 X 3 lumber and polyethylene clear sheeting, a few dense micron furnace filters to draw air in from the top and push them out with a squirrel cage fan out of a used furnace to both filter and exhaust air out of the bottom. ?Its all put together using screws so that I can take it apart to store in my hanger. I have thought about re doing it with PVC pipes and PVC elbows to allow putting it together and taking it apart without using screws. Simply slip it together.?
