Hi Andras,

Can You please remove accelerators from Portuguese translation files? It
would be nice if You could do it before Sunday in order that changes already
affect 3.4.4.

And please remove them also from v 3.5.

Regards

We would need a map, for example:
srchdlg.src#RID_SVXDLG_SEARCH.CB_WHOLE_WORDS.checkbox.text <-->
(Writer|Basic|Draw|Impress) Edit - Find & Replace...
I have no idea how to extract this information from the source code.

Key IDs help a bit I think, at least you know what to modify in Pootle
when you see it on the UI. By the way, it is not a disaster when there
are duplicated shortcuts in a menu or in a dialog. Even English UI has
duplicates shourcuts, for example in Writer, File menu, Sen~d and
Export as P~DF or Digital Signatu~res and P~rinter settings. These
menu items are still accessible from the keyboard, the shortcut key
toggles between the two items, also arrow keys can be used. For
dialogs it works similarly, and user also can tab thorough the items.

Best regards,
Andras

[libreoffice-l10n] Confusion with helplines in 3.5

2011-10-22 Thread Rūdolfs Mazurs
In new 3.5 strings there is new term – helpline. Is this the same as
"guideline" or "snapline" or something completely different?

If it is one of the already existing terms, they should be changed, to
be in line with others.

Helpline was guide. See the commits:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/?qt=grep&q=Unify+Display+Grid
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/help/log/?qt=grep&q=Unify+Display+Grid
The purpose of these commits was to unify the terminology. Please let
me know, if you find inconsistencies.

2011-10-22 Thread Michael Bauer
This may be totally naive but Mozilla has this (or at least was testing
it) an in-browser translation tool, was it SUMO or something? Anyway,
would that be feasible?

Second thought, which pinged off the first one... have we ever
considered turning (part of) LO into a Google Docs like online suite?

Both are problably unworkable but I'll float them anyway as I'm not a
developer and can't tell :)

What I found strange is that "Helplines" appear only in string
"Helplines While Moving". Also, in the logs above most "guides" became
"snap lines". Also this was interesting:
- Text [ en-US ] = "Guides ~while moving";
+ Text [ en-US ] = "Helplines ~While Moving";

- Text [ en-US ] = "~Guides when moving" ;
+ Text [ en-US ] = "~Snap Lines when moving" ;

Also, what is the difference between snap line and helpline? In my
language those two were synonyms.

please explain?

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Error in Chart help

2011-10-22 Thread Andras Timar

2011.10.11. 0:16 keltezéssel, Mihkel Tõnnov írta:

Hi *,

I found a small incompatibility in Chart help (specifically schart/01.po:
0403.xhp#par_id1007200901590757.help.text): there is
Enter the rotation angle for the data labels. A positive
number rotates the text to the left and a negative number rotates the text
to the right. The text applies to the input box in Insert - Data
Labels dialog.
However, said input field only allows values between 0 and 359 [Degrees] (so
no negative values, and its scale isn't "circular" either, i.e. pressing
"up" from 359 doesn't go back to 0).
I'd prefer the control to be reworked, but the simpler solution would be to
just reword the help string into something like "Enter the counterclockwise
rotation angle for the data labels."

Regards,
Mihkel (of the Estonian l10n team)

Hi Mihkel,

Many thanks for your comment. I changed the help text and I also made
the numeric field "circular" in Insert - Data Labels dialog.

Best regards,
Andras
