We would like to know if this catalog contains Tønder prickings (and working
diagrams), whether it can be viewed online, downloaded (even if there's a
fee involved), and most especially whether the patterns can be ordered and
sent to the US, and ideally paid for with a credit card.

Barbara,
Although I don't speak or read Danish, I can
clearly see that the cost is 25,00 Kroner or 4,33
Euro and that it is downloadable. I also suspect
that there are 27 reconstructed prickings. Also
in the bottom left hand corner you will see that
they take Visa, Master card etc.

We would be grateful for help from anyone who can answer these questions for
us!

Thanks!

Dear Birgitte,

Thank you so much! It is a pleasure to view the catalog, and there's even an

Thank you!

Re: [lace] dutch girl or boy in lace

2007-05-25 Thread Brenda Paternoster

Maybe Dora the Knotter can help.

I have a pattern sheet purchased 15 or 20 years ago from a Lace day
(Possibly Gravesend when she was the speaker). It's a Dutch girl
wearing cap, apron and clogs and holding a tulip. She's 24cm (9.5")
tall but could be reduced on a photocopier
Marked D.N. No4 and has the initials DMN close to the pricking. 25p
written in green ink.

prepared to share the pattern with me. Ideally about 5 inches tall,
probably tape lace/milanese/torchon. If all else fails it'll be out
with the drawing board, but I'd much rather spend my time making the
lace.

Re: [lace] Tønder catalog? Danish help, please.

2007-05-25 Thread bevw
Out of curiosity I clicked on a few links. You can see that the katalog is
25.00 kr. at the top window. The button at the right below takes you to the
shopping cart where you can click quantity for the catalogue. Click on the
right hand button of that page takes you to a log in, I think you have to
have an account at this site to do anything further. Maybe if you have an
account, you can then see the catalogue. I didn't try anything else, but
likely yfrom the shopping cart page you should be able to get to a checkout,
and give them a credit card no. etc. if you want to buy the catalogue.
As you click on links, the URL of the page should appear in English at the
address bar of your browser. That does help a little bit, along with reading
the page anyway as some words are anglicized .

Andrea

Do you want a pattern of a boy or girl in traditional clothing? That I
wouldn't know. But there are patterns from a boy or girl from out of a very
populair childrens book. But I don't know how long it takes me to find them
on the internet.

I hope that if anyone has an answer for Andrea they will reply to the list! My
mother and sister live in a town that is primarily of Dutch descent and they
both have lots of Dutch items in their homes. My sister participated in Dutch
dancing this year at their Dutch Days festival, and now I'm going to make her
some lace for her costume.
