Hi Aussie spiders, Just a quick fun question. At the moment my 20 year old son is on holiday in Australia. He is staying with an old school friend in Bondi. Now before he went he asked what we would like him to bring home. My daughter and I both asked for the same thing ... a small furry kangaroo possibly with a joey in her pouch. My son has phoned home 2 or 3 times and each time I ask him if he has managed to get the kangaroos yet (after I ask him if he is having a good time !!). His answer is always the same ... Dear Secret Pal, Thank you so much for your parcel that has just arrived. You need not of been worried about it arriving late or not arriving on Valentines Day, your timing was perfect!! Thank so much for the valentines goodies they are much appreciated, especially as I know my DH will not of got me anything !! It is our wedding anniversary 10 days later and he does not do both. I must not moan as this year it is our 25th and he has bought me a lovely ring that we collect today and we are going on a special holiday to the Dominican Republic later in the year !! I think I can forgive him for no valentines !! The chocolates look lovely and the socks will perfectly match a pair of pink trainers that I have just bought! You sound as though you are going through a bad time and I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. The presents that are wrapped I have put under the tree until Christmas day but I can thank you now for the ones that aren't wrapped. The cookie cutter is lovely and will be put into use today as I will be cooking Christmas biscuits later on !! Thank you also for the spider he is on the tree already and I have been reading the card that went with him and showing him to anyone that will listen and look. Dear Secret Pal in America, Thank you so much for my parcel of goodies that arrived this morning. I love the buttons and have been trying to decide what I can put them on to show them off !! I have a few bobbins that need spangling so the lovely beads will certainly come in handy. I am going to try and find some time this weekend to do it. I have tried one of the choccies already and I'm not sure how long I will be able to resist the rest !! All my tanne thread is either white or ecru so the blue thread that you sent makes a welcome change. I have a few different scented essential oils but not a peppermint one so I can't wait to try it. Hi, I am writing to you in the hope that someone out there can help me please !! My sister has a severe chemical sensitivity and has to use special organic soap ,shampoo etc. A shop here in England has up until now imported a soap that she uses from New Zealand. They have now stopped importing it and she has been left high and dry with no soap. I am writing to you in the hope that there might be someone out there who can get her the soap and send it over ?? My sister is happy to pay all costs incurred in this. The soap is called "Nui certified organic soap" and although the shop has previously imported it from New Zealand it actually says Handcrafted in Australia on the label. Dear Bev and all, This evening I went to Windsor and heard Jane Dobinson's Choir sing at evensong. It was a lovely occaison and it certainly comes to something when a Canadian comes over to your country and you go and do something that you would never dream of doing just a few miles up the road !!! After evensong Julie Nicholls and I met up with Jane and had a meal and a good chat. Jane gave me the pin that you had sent and I received a cover cloth with Canadian town names on from Jane. Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending the pin I will attach it to my lace pillow and think of my Canadian friends when I make lace. Jane and I have been talking of this meeting for 2 years and I can't believe it has finally happened. The next thing on the spoken agenda is for me to get over to Canada for Lace Camp. How clever you are to make the pouch from material that you have dyed yourself and the pincushion in the shell is so sweet !! It is so tiny and must have been really fiddly to make !! I know what you mean about the heat. We have had hot weather for weeks now although it has been cooler the last few days. I have not touched my lace for weeks and Monday did 3 weeks worth of ironing,that is another thing that I can't bear to do when it is hot !!
