I think it will be good to see the likes of Hall, Poleon and Dawson maybe
given a chance - unless they are ill too.
Even worse than the prospective team is the prospective crowd - according
to a screen shot of sales on waccoe we are looking at a lot less than
10,000 (only around 5k have been sold so far)

Dave,

I am one of those loyal supporters you talked about. I gave up my season ticket
after 20 odd years and am now a pay as you go punter. This will probably cost
me more than a season ticket as I've only missed one home game this season and
had to pay £34 for a Chelsea ticket. As a direct result of the dire performance
last time out I'm not going on Saturday.  Part-timer maybe ? but win or lose I
want to see some basic ability on the pitch but at the moment I'm seeing none.
Plus the apathy on the pitch and in the ground makes it place where you just
don't want to spend your afternoon.

Re: [LU] LUFC - BRUM team

2013-01-04 Thread Joe Skinner

Barnsley (and someone else I can't remember) did the same a few years ago, it's
self defeating.

Away teams are entitled to 25% of the gate receipts, regardless of the
attendance.

Oddly, I went to Forest vs Hull a few weeks ago - both were atrocious, timid,
lacking basic football skills. I think in the whole game, there were about 4
shots on goal, 2 of which were penalties (both dodgy) and one was a hand ball.
I couldn't believe both were top 8. I'd been clouded by seeing how crap we've
been recently and assumed everyone else was much better.

It's obviously not a huge surprise both teams pumped us away from home in the
following weeks...

Not sure what it means, other than the whole league is pretty even. Home form
seems key.

Re: [LU] Finally a Proper reason to Hate Becchio..

2013-01-04 Thread Sutton / Smail
A real club perhaps, but not even doubling our fan base, attendances,
ground capacity or turnover will make up for the fact that the poor -
mediocre football side of things will maintain our Championship status.
Just imagine the catastrophe of promotion with this setup (not that it's
likely) I keep saying it, but we need to do a Swansea and go up with true
style to have any chance of not being next season's QPR.
Another couple of seasons, at least, I'd say to prepare for that. Have to
think long term.
