Well, if ever a team was cursed…

Very disappointing overall performance from us. 

Started so positive & on the front foot for most of the first 10, solid & 
determined - and then came the first defensive wobble when they broke down our 
right…
I hoped that would act as a wake up call but didn’t… Sure enough soon they 
scored while Rodon & Amps stood pointing at each other & Archie unfortunately 
had dropped too far so played Armstrong on… 

From that moment on we never really looked like getting into the game again. 

Too many of our players didn’t believe in it (and that has to be laid on Farke) 
- but the one that did was the first to be replaced which summed quite a lot 
up. 

Rutter & Cree were well below par, and should’ve been replaced on the hour at 
least. Gruev & Kamara struggled to get anything going - and not once did we see 
the triangulation play between Kamara, Cree, Rutter & Firps which have become a 
bit of our speciality this season… 

And the combination Rutter/Piroe hasn’t worked well ever & won’t work in the 
future either if one of them keeps insisting on not interacting with the other. 
Another thing for DF to sort out. 
Maybe he should let one of them go. There’s no indication that Rutter will find 
his form from before the break & operation again… on his current showing he’s a 
big question mark.  

Anyway, thought Dan James did well when he came on, desperately unlucky with 
his effort, and at least we did try hard in the end to force a goal.

Too little too late as the saying goes. 

Next season can’t start too soon. Not looking forward to the summer of silly 
season crap but that’s what it is. 

Hope and pray for a few good additions and that we don’t lose too many of our 
most influential players. Our squad was never big enough this season so 
additions are needed. 

Why not try and find a left back who can defend? Heard that one before? 
Wish list can become long! 

Realistically we won’t be able to keep Willy or Cree, but let’s hope Archie 
stays!

There’s a mute function on the WhatsApp group. You choose when to read and 
engage - just like on here. Won’t wake you up in the middle of the night. 
Facebook - as well, just adjust the settings to no notifications.

And - there’s nothing wrong with the good old list! The social media stuff are 
only complimentary.

Hi all! 
Long time since I posted last time… Some 20 years ago 浪

I was on the excellent digest for most of these years - until the WhatsApp chat 
& Facebook group got started a few years ago.

Like many of us I saw them as logical steps in modernising communication whilst 
not disrespecting 30 years (!!) of Leedslisting, and joined. 

Have had a great time on them since.
 
Now read that Richard & Verner chose to leave - I hope you guys can find a way 
back on, cos’ your input on anything Leeds is highly valued!

The team has got all the hallmarks of a confident, hard working top of the 
league team. To go on extended winning runs despite missing key players is 
evidence to that. 

I put this down in equal measures to the influence of Pep Clotet. He knows how 
to instill confidence in players who are not the most skilled or don't read the 
game well enough. Just what was needed for this team. Positioning sense, 
getting your team mates back in all situations, the hard work, the swift 
passing football game is what he knows.

Cool!
Have now received list mails without broken addresses and other stuff!

Have had some problems since I came off 15 years of list lurking/digesting but 
haven't had the time to sort it out until now. 
My mail wouldn't reach the list the few times I tested. 
Still don't know what caused it - have seen a few others posting about broken 
addresses too, but don't know if listers in general had similar experiences.

Anyway, it's great to have Leeds on the box again tonight! Pontus Jansson is 
really doing wonders for us overseas scandie fans - every other game seems to 
be on now in different media (Cambridge away in the cup as well if anyone's 
missed).

Certainly a change from the two games every six months we'd been fed before 
(none when we were in third div, apart from the one where we thrashed scum away 
in the cup :-D) anyway. 

Long may it continue, and while our overall form is improving - and credit has 
to go in equal shares to both Monk & Pep Clotet as far as I'm concerned. The 
latter having worked with Jansson at Malmö and helped bring their game on so 
that they even gained back to back CL spots in -14 & -15 (first Swedish team to 
reach the group stage in 13 years or so).
