Quite interesting, and then, when looking at the utubes that wereshowing down
the side, there was one about turning spheres, alsointeresting, something else
to make.

I went to the Woodworking show here in the U.K. on Sunday, saw TheLegacy CNC's
working. The distributor / Agent / demonstrator, Wayne Mack, wasvery good and
spent some time with me, showing an Axminster Scroll Saw inaction, really
helpful-- so much so I went to the Axminster stand andbought the EX-21
as Wayne Mack had not one for sale

RE: new legacy drive hubs

2017-11-22 Thread Bill Bulkeley
The lighter the router the better I chose the lightest router I had that takes
½ inch router bits magnates main size in legacy bits. ¼ would work easier but
not so many bit profile choices. also the router base of the attachment needs
to be able to swivel too for reaching further when doing the ball as long as
you have where the attachment pivots near the legacy rails set in the centre of
your ball you can have the end of the router bit anywhere and it will still cut
the ball round

Thanks for reminding me, I had seen your Ball Turner long before I got the
Revo. It looked a bit of a faff to do it, for the old Woodchuck. Time for me to
get the welder out again, and make one. I have a very small 1/4" router -Elu-
that should be o.k. if not the Triton MOF 001 will do. Need a few more door
stops with ball on there ends,

Re: new legacy drive hubs

2017-11-22 Thread 'Curt George' via Legacy Ornamental Mills
Hello and Good morning MichaelYes the drive hubs are proprietary to Legacy, But
what I have found , these hubs are the best way to hold almost any idiom that I
want to turn, they are rock solid and smaller and cheaper then any other
holding system that I have found. Plus one MORE big reason why I like them. I
have the mounting hub on my lathe as well, I can switch form my Lathe back to
my Legacy with out switching anything. Uniformity is the name of the game for
me. Since I mainly do spindle (between center turning) these drive hubs work
very well for me.  As as I said earelr in this topic, I own 30+ so I can do one
set-up , mount the drive hubs on my stock, and then mount and turn as many
spindles that I want. I dose not matter the size of the wood. These hubs do not
slip/move once set. For the money they are my  tool of choice as far as turning
goes. ;-)

Re: A response from Andy Anderson Of Legacy Regarding Support.

2017-11-22 Thread Richard Ellis
Hi Roger
I went to the show at Harrogate, and saw the LOMs ( CNC ) working, very
impressive . Wayne Mack the Legacy agent also spent time with me
demonstrating an Axminster scroll saw, he was not selling them though.
Anyway a very good demo, so good in fact that I went and bought one from
Axminster the EX-21 just had a play with it good fun.
