"Legacy manual machine group"

Hello Roger. Its funny the way you posed that, I always just though of this
group "the Legacy ..." But I guess you are right, with Legacy moving into the
CNC world, it looks like this Tree has grown a new branch.

I cant wait to hear and or see what you come up with.
Have a great day!

Hi Martin and the rest of the gang.

Yes I watch this feed religiously.

Martin, the man with the beard in Kent was Andy Anderson the originator of
the Legacy. The weekend before our show he had been doing show time somewhere
in the US, he turned up at Salt Lake City airport to fly to UK and found he had
left his passport at home so instead of arriving in UK on the Wednesday morning
he came in on the Thursday and our show was on the Friday & Saturday. Monday he
flew back to Salt Lake and then on to another show.

I hope to be posting something of considerable interest to the "Legacy manual
machine group" in the very near future. It will not be a project that I have
made, my tool business keeps me away from the Legacy machine and my woodturning.

  Regards
  Roger

Hi, my name is Martin, I am here in the UK and follow all the posts but due
to location don't often have anything helpful to post, ref the last auction and
shipping conversation. I know Roger watches (Hi Roger!) and I said hello to him
in person, at a recent Exhibition in Kent, UK. I also spoke to one of the guys
from Legacy who was showing the latest in the CNC machines for sale. I own a
REVO with lots of extras which I have not yet mastered as I am still getting to
grips with the basics of the machine. I spoke to Tim, recently and was
expressing my appreciation of the "archve" here and said I was slowly working
my way through the postings and gaining lots of insight into how to use my
machine. I am still a long way back in this task (2005) but "slowly slowly,
catchy monkey" Keep up the good work. It would be interesting to see how many
other UK users there are?

Hello George
Do you have any pictures of this segmented bowl? Perhaps someone could give
some incites on this project for you? Sounds like a neat project.

I find as we grow, we learn and strive for more. Many of my past projects I
can look back apon and see little things that I could have or should have
done differently."Live and Learn" Right? Well at least that is why I am
here. to grow and get better, Step by step.(or perhaps It should be spindle
by spindle.) we all get better. ;-)

Have a great day.
AND KEEP IN TOUCH.

C.A.G.

Well, I am here also...sitting in the weeds. George in MN. I am using
my 900 more than ever trying to make candle holders for the
Minneapolis Farmers Market. Getting better at it but my skills are
still limited. Really want to get to a point where I can look at a
piece and have a good idea how it was done. Size of stock, bits used,
gears used, etc. Not there yet.
I am eyeing a segmented bowl on a short open barley twist post to use
for a covered cake/pie plate. I have tried to duplicate that post
couple of times but not quite there yet.
