2018-01-09 Thread 'Curt George' via Legacy Ornamental Mills
Good morning everyone.Richard I cant wait to see how your project works out.
That video was a good learning experience FOR ME, even if the project did not
work out as hoped...   it did have a few spin-off's that ended up working very
well for me. Having said that, I should have made a spindle using the follower,
and not used the turn table... "O"Well that's water under the bridge, so to
speak.
The idea is simple, the front mounting of the template follower is not hard to
do. if you choose to make one, I wish you luck on it.
talk to you, and all more.
Have a good day.

Re: The Candlestick Maker

2018-01-08 Thread russ veinot
Curt,
If I remember right, you and lil twisted did a video showing that
follower. I have always said that you need a dedicated spot for the LOM
with access all the way around. I also agree that the template follower is
better suited on the front of the machine. i did a video recently on using
the incra fence for the x axis. i have since then been thinking about the
same precision control for the y axis. I believe it would have to mount on
the front of the LOM instead of the back for the same reasons. but still
working on the bugs for that.

Hello RussMostly by dumb luck. ;-)I was doing a search for... things that I
like.   I saw a picture of one of his roped candle sticks , so I followed his
link, which had the video on it. I did not know that the REVO was used, until
after I watched the video. I would like to again state, that its not the

glad to see that the machine that he chooses to use has the Legacy trade mark.
