The source information in Ancestry is what has allowed me to enter sources pretty much "correctly" into Legacy 6, and, therefore, the Basic Source method in Legacy 7. No need for the new Source Templates. Also, it is worth noting that I became aware of this through the Legacy videos. Dede, That is a really useful suggestion. I have been mining birth, marriage, death and census data, etc. from Ancestry.com for six years. I discovered I could copy text from Ancestry.com and paste directly into Legacy for individual fields and master sources, and forgot all about the "Printer Friendly" printout. I have not yet tried the new source templates in Legacy 7. Now, faced with the daunting task of reworking sources, it is a comforting thought to have a paper printout from Ancestry.com to refer to while trying to find appropriate templates in Legacy 7. I think it would depend on whether the record you found was an image of the actual record or a transcription. BTW, if it is a transcription, I would try to get a copy of the original. Along with confirming the accuracy of the transcription, there may be additional information that was not transcribed. Ronald, there are so many choices that you really have to look all of them over very closely.
