Does this source detail still show if you clear the source clipboard? I seem to remember there was a problem with the source clipboard (is fixed in beta now). What I saw in my family file was that it only seemed as if these details were attached (they changed if I copied another source to the clipboard and they didn't print in reports). So I think you better wait for the next build before you start checking all your source details. To check this you just have to clear the source clipboard and see if the wrong details have gone. Thank you Connie, Tom, Ron, Kiersten, Dave Evert for taking the time to give me your thoughts. I appreciate it. Clearing the clipboard is a good idea. I tried this, there was nothing on the clipboard. I turned off the computer last evening. This morning I see that the detail is still there, yet when I click on edit detail there is nothing to delete. I did a preview of individual report. It seems ok, I don't see the detail Building 5 from Walking Tour of Nyssa in the preview. This morning in the Assigned Sources screen I clicked on edit detail added two periods [..]saved and the two periods were in the detail column, Building 5 is gone. I again went to edit detail, deleted the two periods and saved. TA DA! the detail column is now blank. I think I will delay using the SourceWriter until Dave gets this problem fixed. Hi Ann, I don't think you are doing anything wrong... but instead have run into a glitch we've been seeing since Jun 8th... The saving grace is the 'ghost text' apparently doesn't print on reports... and for me goes away once Legacy has been restarted. I'll try posting again to the Beta Test List. Ann: You're probably not doing anything wrong; this is a programming glitch that is making me rather crazy but hopefully will be fixed before long. In some instances the old details will clear themselves after you shut down and then re-start Legacy. Also in some cases (but not all), the detail shows correctly in reports in spite of what shows on the Source Detail screen. Like you, I was horrified at seeing my late husband's death record details listed in the source for our sons' birth records but after a shut down and re-start, all was as it should be. Patience and faith seem to be the watchwords with SourceWriter for now. I posted this to three people, Ernest, Ernesta Irene. To my horror the source detail for Walking Tour of Nyssa, Oregon also appears for the three people I posted the Certificate of Baptism to. I will have to go back check every source entry since receiving version 7. I would appreciate thoughts on what I am doing wrong.
