Re: [LegacyUG] to-do list by location - multiple sendings

2008-06-10 Thread John Carter
I suggest that you check whether your ISP or mail software is ignoring
your emails when they come back via the list.

I've received email from you via the list server with the following
time/date info:
8:32PM 6-6
12:33PM 6-7
3:49PM 6-7
10:32AM 6-8

John

It is getting ridiculous! I have sent messages 38 hours ago, 22 hours ago,
and 19 hours ago and none have them have appeared. Obviously, Millennia's
 mail server needs some maintenance.

Re: [LegacyUG] to-do list by location - multiple sendings

2008-06-10 Thread Robert57P via Gmail
Remember that your own msgs often do NOT come back to you. At least in part
this depends on what e-mail server YOU are using. For instance, I use
Google mail - and a msg I send to the board does NOT come back to me (even
if I copy myself!). But I can check the Legacy archives later and see that
it got posted. (When looking to verify a msg, I find it easier to sort the
archives by date rather than by the default.)

You are correct, it is getting ridiculous. A quick check shows the following messages from you to
the list since 6/5/08.

6/5/08 - [LegacyUG] Whats New in Legacy Video
6/6/08 - Re: [LegacyUG] v7
6/7/08 - [LegacyUG] V7 - Marriage Information Screen
6/7/08 - Re: [LegacyUG] Ver 7 mapping and push pins
6/8/08 - Re: [LegacyUG] to-do list by location - multiple sendings

Obviously the messages are going through the list and out to the subscribers. This means Millenia's
mail server is doing its job. That leaves something on your end not working correctly. Check your
junk folder and your ISP. It's not Millenia's fault.

It depends if you entered that information. :-)

If you did, you can use the Filter options to sort your list to include

Re: [LegacyUG] to-do list by location

2008-06-07 Thread RICHARD SCHULTHIES
Yes.2 ways.
1. sort by repositories, Look at Filter options and Sort Order. The blank ones
will sort first then the a-z
2. sort by locations. This will use only the locations you added to the ToDo
list page.
I have many blanks in various fields of the TO Do list. They sort just like I
want them.

There sure is, one of my favorite research tools.
Under the to do list
Go print - you can select csv file here if you wish instead of a print version.
Under record selection - select what you want all, general, ect.
UNDER Filter Options is where you can choose the
Locality -
Under the This locality you can do the pull down to the one you want.

Mary Beth,

It is very difficult to answer this since you do not say which version of
Legacy you are using and I do not know if the options for V7 ToDos are the same
as for V6

You also say that you don't have the exact place but know the general area
- where have you recorded this?

My answer can, therefore, only be very general. If you are using Vamp; and If
you have put the general are in the ToDo Locality field then ToDogt;Print
gives you an option to print this information.

Re: [LegacyUG] to-do list by location

2008-06-07 Thread Wendy Howard

Hi Mary,

You can filter the To Do List by Category or by Locality, plus a few
other fine-tuning options. Open your To Do List, then click on the
Filter Options tab, and define what you want, then click on the Apply
Filter button.

The To Do List itself can be opened just for one individual, or for all
individual and general tasks. For one individual, click on the To Do
List icon for that person in the Family View. For all tasks, open via
the icon at the top of the screen (you can add it if it's not there and
you want it, by right-clicking on the icon bar and making the required
change) or via the menu it is View To Do List.

I'm sending a copy of this reply to you directly, as well as to the
list. I, too, am finding the mail for this list to be erratic in its
delivery time - some posts are taking more than 24 hours to reach me,
others are much quicker. Very odd. :-(

Hope this helps. :-)

Kind Regards,
Wendy Howard
