Funny what you don't notice until you need it.  I never would have 
thought of printing out the merge list.  Sorry.

Click your backup option on next dialog box

Turns out there is a way to obtain a list of possible duplicates using the 
merge dialog itself by using the print option in the merge/Find duplicates 
tool.
