Re: [LegacyUG] Minor problem using Access to convert a source's format
We had a problem report on the issue of combining sources in our system. It was marked as resolved in our latest update so I tested it today. I have now passed it back to the programmers for more work. You should not have to edit the source and cancel before the combine button works. Thanks Brian! It is not holding me up, but I'm glad you followed up on it. Do you think there is an additional field that goes along with being a SW source that we should be changing in Access? A field that gets set correctly when the SW source is opened for Edit? --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Harbaugh Hopkins Hughes Jones Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Sullivan Williams - Original Message From: Brian/Support br...@legacyfamilytree.com To: LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Sent: Tuesday, September 22, 2009 3:19:55 PM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Minor problem using Access to convert a source's format We had a problem report on the issue of combining sources in our system. Thanks, Jenny. I just opened Legacy this morning. They were uncombined. Tried to combine, but same thing happened. And when I closed Legacy, it didn't ask me if I wanted to do a backup (meaning, there were no changes to the file). Re: [LegacyUG] Minor problem using Access to convert a source's format
Judy, Just a word of caution... I wouldn't worry about using Access on your Legacy .fdb file this early in your Legacy journey. As I understand it, there are only certain things that people here on the LUG list have figured out how to do do safely, or have developed tools to do safely. Like, I've been a user for 4-5 years and am just now trying this combining sources thing! --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Harbaugh Hopkins Hughes Jones Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Sullivan Williams - Original Message From: Jenny M Benson ge...@cedarbank.me.uk To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyFamilyTree.com Sent: Friday, September 18, 2009 4:03:59 AM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Minor problem using Access to convert a source's format Judy wrote OK, I am feeling way stupid.
