[LegacyUG] Runtime Error 9
Subscript out of range I'm seeing a significant increase in this error (and the subsequent unceremonious shutdown of Legacy) since updating to build 381. Anyone else seeing this? Ame I the only one or has someone else noticed that when entering the detail information that you can't use the tab key to get to the next field if it is not showing? For instance, with the 1930 Census, the last field showing is Dwelling no. You have to scroll down before using the tab key to enter the family no. If you tab without scrolling, you are typing the family number into the surety level. Uh, no, not a WIN issue for a change, Mike, because I just clicked on the wrong image; I have both orientations already. Although I was initially a little lost with Legacy 8, I know that Geoff et al do wonderful stuff, and went ahead and bought the deluxe bundle. Perhaps they should be added to the Help file in the program, but at any rate, I have saved them in Evernote and I'm loving the power of 8. Hi Cheryl, Go to the folder where the wrong attached photo is located, click on the wrong photo, then select to move the photo into another folder on your computer. Go to the person or event that the wrong photo was attached to and you will noticed that the photo is now missing, click on the missing photo box, on the next screen select to look for the file yourself, go the the folder where the right photo is located and select the correct photo. You can then return the wrong photo to the same folder if you wish. Julie, Click on Options Customize Columns on the Index view and in the Index View Columns window, click on the Defaults button and close. See if that doesn't reset the height. Sometimes, just resizing the Legacy window can change the row height. There's no way to manually adjust the height in v8. [LegacyUG] Date Added
I just noticed that the Date Added is now the date I ported over my Legacy 7 data to Legacy 8 (with the exception of the few I added since installing Legacy 8). Seems to me that the date the data were entered into the database should have been retained. Now I have a date of entry into this program version as opposed to when the data were entered into the database. Not good! Re: [LegacyUG] Date Added
How did you port your Legacy 7 Data? If you just click on the Legacy 7.5 version of your file and have Legacy 8 open the file (it will convert it but lets you copy the file to your Legacy 8 folders first) all the added dates are retained. I just checked my personal file there are people in that file with added dates of 8 August 2004, the date I imported the GEDCOM from my previous program (Family Tree Maker) into Legacy Version 5.0. [LegacyUG] Potential Problems List
Am I missing a connection point on this or does it not work in the way I would like it - when in the Potential Problems List I appreciate you can edit the person, or the marriage or the parents but there seems to be no way to go to the Family View screen directly from the list without either closing the list and the search down (and memorising the RIN number) or making a pdf to keep the details. Just a small point on something I would like to be able to do!
