Re: [LegacyUG] Does anyone here use Evidentia?

2016-04-04 Thread Michele/Support
The problem with GenSmarts is. It costs extra AND it hasn't been updated in
a very long time. I emailed the company to confirm this. Legacy's Research
Guidance is built into the program, doesn't cost anything extra and is
updated routinely.

Let me throw another one in the mix. GenSmart. It reads your families and
gives you suggestions . Very user friendly. Owner of company here in our NW
suburbs very helpful.

It's useful when you don't have solid primary evidence to answer your question.
You enter your assertions and from what sources. The final product is a
statement documenting your reasoning why you made the decision you did in
answering your question usually from non primary evidence.
Useful for end of line ancestors, brick walls, questionable relationships,
facts etc.

It does take time to enter the data and to analyze it which is the downside.
The upside is years from now you have a document that tells you why this
choice was made with the documentation supporting it.

Watch the tutorials and see if this is for you.

The original message to the list is in the attachment.

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy
imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages
without conversion to attachments should use a different email address
for their subscription.

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email
providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message ---
Hi Glenny,
Thanks for the post. I haven't heard of Evindentia before, so I decided to
check it out. It sounds like a great way to compare proof, but it seems like it
would take forever to actually get all the information into the program. Am I
missing something? I'll admit that I only took a rather quick look at it.
