Sort of depends on what you're researching. For example, if you're going to be looking for grave markers in Michigan, use Search to find who is buried there, then Print List Report Options to get the information you will need printed. Also can output a CSV file for Excel import. Hi Gordon, I had a look at your excel research spreadsheet and it looks a great way to have the data easy to find. Did you use the colour blocks to denote families or where you have already looked? Doesn't Legacy have some built in functionality for research? I haven't used it yet. But if you know Microsoft Access or a similar database program, it would do what you need in a more powerful way than you can do with Excel. I'm in the process of learning it more thoroughly myself. I used Excel some years ago when I was planning a trip to Ohio for research. I exported it to a web page. I didn't include my file in my Legacy database and I don't know if Legacy supports including Excel spreadsheets but, if not, you could export a web page from Excel that could be kept on your computer where you keep your Legacy stuff and you can put html links in Legacy.
