Re: [LegacyUG] Tagged people
Hi Margaret, Ok, thank you. If each person that you want to view has data in their General Notes Section: There is a way to view a tagged set of folks and edit the information at the same time. To do this click on 'Name List' - top ribbon bar, left side. You should see a list of all your people. Down at the bottom are boxes: To do, options, search Click on Search - another box pops Click on 'Show all tagged' another box pops which will have all the tag numbers. Pick the tag # that you used to make your list. Now you should see all the tagged folks Next click on the box that says 'print' [next to the search box] - another box pops with the 'List Report Options'. You can select any of the options to create a file, but truthfully you can do the corrections without creating another / printed list. Why? Because once you have all the tagged folks on your Name List, you can edit. To the right of your list of tagged folks is an edit screen. Each person has a series of tabs which allow you to edit the data. Click on the 'Notes' tab: General, Research & Medical entry areas come up. You can edit, save and go on to the next person. Additionally, you can untag from this screen . Click on 'Edit', notice on the bottom right a series of little boxes-these are the tags used. Click the blue one for the # you used and that person is untagged. I hope this helps. Re: [LegacyUG] Tagged people
I need to view a list of everyone that is tagged because they all have notes. I need to remove a return - or place a return at the first line of each persons notes, because when I print out the Ancestor report, I want the notes to being under the item that says GENERAL NOTES: Thanks for your help. I am not very good at all this, but do want it to look nice. Re: [LegacyUG] Tagged people
Hi Margaret, I am sending this to the list, but would be happy to send you a 'how to' with images if it would help. First, what do you want to do with the list? Reason I ask is that the type of list you will produce depends upon it's purpose. For instance, if you produce a csv list which will become a spreadsheet, you might want that type to use so that you can condense or eliminate folks for which you are making corrections. Or if you are producing a list that will be saved as a pdf and is going to be used for research or reference, you do not need to edit it. So, first things first. What is the purpose of the tagged list? [LegacyUG] Tagged people
Is there a way to make a list of all the folks I have tagged in my file? If so, please send me step by step on how to do that. I just don't understand some of the directions in the Help menu.
